So was digging around a bit and came across the "new Rodimus design that was later used in the brave series. Apparently Rodimus was going to become a fire truck in Japan. Found the concept art too.

My question to everyone is what do you think? Based strictly on this image, could a G1 Inferno be modified to resemble Rodimus?

I'm sure G1 Inferno would be a good base, as well as RTS Grappel. I could even see this being done with RID Prime.

I would say that was most definitely going to be another Inferno repaint with a minor re design in the chest area.

NO! The Takara Brave Series Fire J-Decker was the mold originally planned for New Rodimus before cancelling it all.
Apparently they didn't think kids would like that the front part of the fire truck split away and then re-fit into the robot in a transformers line unless it was a power up for another robot.
