Creative Process?

Postby Bonecrusher27 » Mon Jul 16, 2007 6:33 am

After buying a few of the movie TF toys I've become really fascinated with the workings of the transformation. QC issues aside (I've been lucky thus far though) it's pretty amazing how these things are designed. I've mistransformed a few, only to find that when I correctly transformed them again I see little pegs, slots, and so on that all help in the process of keeping things in place. Needless to say, the instructions that come with the toys are near freaking useless and miss all these nuances.

Does anyone know where I can find information on how a Transformer toy is created? From conceptualisation to design to blue print to prototype. Sure would love to have some cutaways to look at. I've never been much of a mechanical sort, but these toys have kindled my interest in that area. Especially the automorphing... simple but ingenius at the same time.

i did but still in packaging. I played with my friend's BB and followed the instructions. seemed fine. Maybe I'm lucky though. I haven't had a single TF Movie toy yet that didn't work. But I'm waiting for Brawl in the mail. So maybe I'll have to see about those shoulders...
