Hi,

Been working hard on a my summer project, trying to turn this into toy form. Here is my MTMTE Fortress Maximus (He's not on Cover #1 but he is my favorite character in the series). I'm pretty happy with how my skills as a painter have developed over the past year ^^

You know what's awesome? The first TF custom I saw from you, IMO, needed alot of improvement. I have actually sat and watched as your customs have gotten better and better, and its only been roughly a year.
(I haven't painted jack yet, so feel free to ignore my criticisms)

The only thing I think needs any improvement here are his shoulders, they could be refined a tiny bit. But its otherwise perfection, and Chromedome is, IMO, your best custom to date. Hats off to you, and Primus help us if you keep getting better at this rate.

Wow! I'm jealous I want them! esp that awesome Rodimus. How did you get those head-sculpts?
You only started a year ago? how does one start? any tips for someone who want to start? any must reads?

Damn, does that look nice.

With the Thrilling 30 line being centered around IDW designs, I'm really hoping for an IDW Fortress Maximus, preferably Voyager sized, but I'll take a Deluxe.

The head sculpt is from PCC Skyburst, the main head meant for the combined mode. I added some green stuff and other things to make it more Rodimus.

I started working with Transformers a year ago, however I've been doing hobby work for about a decade. Despite my experience prior, Transformers is a whole new level because you have to not only paint one toy, but you're practically painting two, and then making sure things don't scratch during transformation and etc. It is a daunting task, however my advice is to simply start small and have ideas. Anything from Deluxe class downwards is a great place to start.
