So Donavan McNabb's been released by the Vikings, and they're saying he wants to play for the Bears. Does anyone see the Bears signing him? If not, what other team might sign him?

The Bears just signed Luke McCown last week as a back up to Hanie, so I don't see McNabb playing in Chicago. I know why he wants to play there, being a Chicago boy and all, but I just can't see him grasping the Mike Martz offense. Granted, it is sounding like Martz will get a college head coaching job after this season. Cutler is the starter in Chicago long term. McNabb would be a better back up option than Hanie, granted, but at this point I'm thinking McNabb is done.
On to the game last night: Philly has quit on Reid. They just looked like they didn't want to be there. DeSean Jackson may just be the next Randy Moss..."I'll play when I want to"...but I have never seen a team with so much potential fall so far. It's just incredible. With that half-hearted performance, they are officially out of the playoff race.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

McNabb is a bum, as far as I'm concerned always was. Just like Vick. Never get a ring. And that's fine, neither deserves one, they've both been overrated. And Vick is a scumbag.
If Cutler takes care of himself, he can make it back in time for the playoffs. The Bears need to focus on getting there, and dial up the ground and pound game. We know Forte can do it.

No doubt Matt Forte can handle the job, but the question mark is still their QB. Can he hit those move the chain passes without turning the ball over. Either way, McNabb doesn't fit in Chicago, if he had they would have claimed him. I could easily see McNabb ending up in Texas to help teach that youngster who is all that remains. Jake is done, and to be frank just like Indy, Texas should have gone after Jeff Garcia as soon as the injuries were announced as season ending. But thats just my take on the matter.
Though to be frank, McNabb will probably end up in Miami backing up Moore. But either way, he will never start again unless there is critical injuries and the punter is hurt.

How in the world is my team, 7-5? I can't even believe this is real life. Whatever you're doing Tebow, keep doing it.
Crazy how Giants and Colts gave their opponents hell, almost won too.
Poor Cowboys, that ice was sad.
Bears are in big trouble. Saints winning tonight is their best option right now.

Forte is out 2-4 weeks now with an MCL sprain (which i called when is saw the play, btw). That will kill the Bears season. They will not make the playoffs now.
Dallas is really kind of pathetic. I just don't know what to make of them. Up one week, down next. I'd chalk them up with the Eagles as being out of it- not officially, but in spirit.
I continue to be amazed by Tebow and the Broncos winning. He had a good passing game today, too! I just don't know what to think anymore but what a story to be following.
Pittsburgh seems to be getting healthy and hot at the right time. The Bengals seem to be going the opposite direction. Could we see a Ravens-Steelers AFC championship game? New England won't make it...Indy almost came back on them. What does that tell you?
Aaron Rodgers is amazing. That being said, Green Bay's defense better shape up or they may be the first undefeated team to be eliminated in the playoffs.
Drew Brees...wow. Just wow. Rodgers and Brees are so far above the rest of the league right now it's insane. Brees will break Marino's record this year. And may get Unitas's record next year. Who dat.
The Raiders are...uh...umm...Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!?!?! Beat that bad by MIAMI?!?! I know the Fins are getting hot but what the heck was that?
Congrats to the Texans on another great win. A true team...one more win and they should have a guaranteed playoff spot.
Question for everyone at large: we've seen a plethora f major QB injuries this year, and subsequently seen a lot of second and third string QBs play. In most of these cases, we have seen them play horrible. Not just bad, but absolutely horrid. Do you think we will see more emphasis on the backup QB from NFL teams in the near future? To me it seems like a good idea, but I'm not a GM or head coach. But what's happened to Chicago and Indy are great examples of cases where the QB went down and so did the team.

Got three words for all you doubters out there...
NFC WEST CHAMPIONS
Oh and only because it is related and absolutely deserved. Congradulations Frank Gore. You have earned your role as one of San Francisco's greatest Runningbacks in history. All time Leading Rusher. 12-4-11
10-2 with a potential first round bye. This is an amazing cinderella season that I pray doesn't end until we have a ring for the index finger of the left hand.

We will see what happens, but remember that you play in the NFC West which is the buttcrack of the conference, and what happened when the Niners went up against a great defense in Balitmore. As cool as it is to see Jim Harbaugh succeeding, if the Niners go up against a D like Chicago, the Giants, or even the Lions in the playoffs it may be a one and done.
That being said, grats on the Conference title. It's been a while...

heh I do admit the NFC West is scrub of the NFL. However, they beat the Giants, they beat the Lions and they took the Ravens to the limits. Heck, their Offensive Linemen in post game interviews dread the thought of facing off against a Defense of San Fran's caliber.
They are built to play in cold weather, and they have strong running backs to complement a great defense.
Again, that being said... I hold no illusions that they will be in the Superbowl. I do hope it will be a great elimination game, a loss by a point in the greatest game in NFL Playoff History would be epic.

I'll tell you what. The Lions have quickly gone from underdog favorite to the most despised team in the NFC. THey are beating themselves any more. Jim Schwartz HAS to get that team under control before they self destruct completely and he loses his job...because as much as the behavior of the players is their own choice, it is up to the coaching staff to drill into them what is acceptable and what is just downright dirty.

Tebow didn't win it, their field goal kicker won it. Two 50+ yard field goals in a row? Thats impressive

Will they get Tebow'd this weekend?
I think the AFC playoffs are pretty much set.
AFC East: Patriots (probably, as much as I hate to admit it, though it's not over yet)
AFC North: Ravens or squealers (which ever wins it leaves a wild card spot for the other, go Ravens)
AFC South: Texans did it
AFC West: Denver most likely, unless the Raiders pull a miracle out of their asses...
wild cards: Jets and *see AFC North*

Chiefs and Dolphins fire their coaches, Todd Haley and Tony Sporano now out of a job. The Chiefs firing is a little surprising considering last season's success and all the injuries this year, but hey it's their call.

From what I understand there wasa lot of friction between Haley and the GM for the Chiefs, which is weird since he hired him, I think. BTW, Seahawks played the Rams last night and nobody cared.

Last year they played for the NFC West at the end of the season. This year they were both out of contention weeks ago. Nothing new with MNF having a game between two nobodies, that's what happens when you schedule matches between top teams based on last years standings. I'm sure ESPN wishes they had the same option NBC has for their Sunday night football.

True on MNF schedule. Have to admit though, next Monday's game is going to be huge.
The more I look at the New England- Denver matchup, the more I worry that New England will lose it. Denver's D is just sick, and the Patriots is exactly the opposite. They can't stop the run for crap and that is exactly what Denver does best- better than any other team, I think. Granted the legend of Tebow will end when they play the Packers, this weekend is far from a lock for the Patriots.

I don't think Tebow can outscore the Pats even with their defense is the problem. I really hope Brady wins just to piss of pretty much every football fan in america- the ones that hate him, and the ones that love tebow *gag*. Also I really hope he does well because my fantasy season rides on him for this next week >_>

My wife beat me in fantasy football this week...
I needed Aaron Rodgers to have a better game for me and he didn't. She had Antonio Brown and Drew Brees.

It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
