Only Transformers I like the designs of, doesn't matter if they are transforming, non-transforming, show, or non-show, if I like it I buy it, if I don't like it I won't buy it.
i'll go with this one! there are tons of transformers i've passed on just because i did'nt like the way they look. others because of price and so on. if i like it, its mine, if not well.....

I used to be gung ho, having to get every toy that appeared in the show. Now I buy only toys that appeal to me, regardless of show status.

Did you just say you'll buy toys that have good "reviews" ugh I hate reviewers.Icetron wrote:I tend to buy the ones I think look cool or have good reviews that make me end up liking the figure enough to buy it. I lean towards buying my favourite chars if the toys are good though. Lastly they must transform (usually).
Honestly other than telling you facts like "doesn't stand up well in robot mode" all a review is going to tell you is the wrighters' personal opinions.

for me, strictly show/comic toys only, unless i get one in a freebie or set. i don't really dig variants. the exception to this is the Classics line. pretty amazing figures all in all, just ruined by bad QC.

I buy pretty much any TFs that interest me. I have figures from every line from G1 on to the movie. I'll buy figures as long as the figures interest me, but once I lose interest in a line I won't buy any more (looking at the crappy movie line....)

Yeah, repaints are iffy, I only buy them if the original mold is good, and the repaint is a significantly different character or a homage(i.e. Excellion, who is all 3

I buy stuff I like that I can get. I look around, read reviews, check photos and decide if I like it. Can't really see the point of doing it any other way.

For anyone who hasn't seen Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted here.

I just buy the ones I like.
I did get sucked into the movie toys though, and I have all the on screen characters, and all the non-movie characters with heads

'Cause that would be my pick.
Same, except I like the Robot Heroes, they're cute.

I try and restrict myself to only having one character from any line. For instance, I have 20th Anniversary Prime so I didn't by Movie Prime (Leader or Voyager). This helps me not go overboard and save me money, although I miss out on some really good figures (Classics Prime for example).

As opposed to those without head?

Do you mean headless Bonecrusher and Frenzy?
Or giant-eyed drones?
