The movie was definitely my least favorite so far. I like these movies a lot for there big action sequences, and after the last movie having the tri wizard tourney, which was full of big stuff, I was ready for another big film. I was pretty disappointed. I thought the pacing was really awkward, just like bits and pieces. And then the death was like done in a minute and nothing really came of it.

It was just as anticlimactic as it was in the book.

bah! stupid "no post mode specified" error! ok, i'm not rewriting all that.

basically, this was my second favorite movie in the series (favorite being prisoner of azkaban). keep in mind, i'm holding off on reading the books so that i can see all of them in movie form without getting upset about what was cut out. plenty of gary oldman, inspired casting (did luna lovegood remind anyone elsde of dakota fanning?), and no momentum-killing section like the dance in goblet. the directing could have been better, but other than that i loved it.

I found the Luna girl to be more like Anna Farris in her wacky 'Scary Movie' renditions...spacy, ditzy, and sometimes, very inspired!

I thought the Harry/Cho kiss was a bit of a momentum killer, it seemed uncomfortably long. And tnen, the Neville/Harry scene seemed contrived because I know how it really went down in the book... :-?

Not gonna see it.

I watched the first one, and hated it. I tried the second one and was so bored I just gave up on it.

So there's no need for me to see this one.

You've missed out on the best movies if you've only seen one and two. Like the books, the movies do get darker, and we don't get introduced to the main characters and their relationships repeatedly.

Truthfully, I suggest reading the books, but you should not ski the movies based only on Soreceror's Stone, and Chamber of Secrets.

I felt the same way until I watched Goblet of Fire (I was sort of made to go see it by wife). After watching it, I thought, it was sort of cool. So I picked up the first book, and steadly made my way through the whole series.

What put me off originally with the first movie was that it was a kiddie, movie. And for some reason, the kids save the day (what an off put). But as the kids get older, they get into more adult themes. After reading the all the books, I then went back to watch the movies. And while some good stuff were left out, I began to like them as well. Goblet is still one of my favorites though.
