Before the DS i had never played a Resident evil game (don't worry, i know what I've missed), I loved the first game on the DS and was wondering if they are going to re-do any other RE games for the DS?

I've only played the first game (on DS) and the 3rd (on PC), but would love to play more.

at this point its doubtful. they've got their resident evil team split up between several projects including resident evil 5 (and in addition to that supposedly a totally new and seperate resident evil for the wii, that isn't RE 5) and another part of the team is working on devil may cry 4.

heres the major problem, that even outweighs the lack of manpower. RE:DS didnt sell very well worldwide. Sure it sold enough to make capcom alittle bit of money, but the market for the game in Japan didn't sell very well, and even less in the US.

I'd love to see number 2 put on the ds (considering the ds is perfect for n64 game ports, and re 2 debuted on the n64). I honestly believe that re2 is the best re (aside from 4) to have come out. Especially the gamecube rereleas/update.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of people to work on another port, as well as the poor sales of the first game, it probably wont be for a while (at the evry least if ever) when we see the next game come out.

Oh bugger, well i'm going to have to wait till i get a Wii and try and get the other RE games to play on it, either get the GC disks, or downloading them onto my Wii (if Nintendo put them up on the virtual console channel)!

chances are they might not even get put on the virtual console because of the gamecube remakes, although thats just my guess. As of what I remember, they are not currently on the virtual console.
