You are thinking of BadCube's Sunsurge as the one with better QC. Although hearing from the designer of Spinout, it's not a QC issue on his figure as much as it was cost-cutting measures or other changes to the mold that were made while in production which caused Spinout to be loose/floppy. There have been NO changes made to Spinout, and I can't even be sure that a second run will be created. Bad publicity caused sales of this figure to be poor, thus the larger retailers discounting their prices. So, buy at your own risk. As Shajaki is alluding to, you may be able to perform some mods to the figure to get it in better shape, and the designer wants to create some parts that you can order which could help with additional fixes.

I'm well aware of the issues with Spinout, but at this price it was too good to pass up. I have Sunsurge, and I love him very much, but I've always thought Spinout looked better. I always thought Spinout said "Sunstreaker" more strongly to me. So I'm giving this a shot, and if it doesn't work out at most I'm only out fifty bucks. I'm sure I'll be able to make at least some of that back, if I'm not happy.
