Depends. Maybe the TF designs eventually evolve to be slightly more blocky in order to protect their internal gears? Who knows what Bay will do....

You've got it the other way around. They won't be able to get companies that make construction vehicles to see it as a product placement and bankroll the movie.

Why not? Think about it, what company wouldn't want a freeish product placement. I mean we had freaking Mountian dew in a transformers movie, why not some good construction equimpent. By the way if they can build a kick ass Eva unit for the live Action Eva movies, why not have ILM crack their knuckles and pull this off? I mean they pulled off Roger Rabbit in the 80s, this should be a snap.
