Remember Linkin Park Soundwave? Well Japan is doing a similar promotion. The Japanese band Bump of Chicken has new products on their site to go with their Aurora Ark Tour 2019 and one of them is an exclusive redeco of Takara's Legends Bumblebee and exo suit Spike (which were the Japanese version of toys released in the Titans Return line). This redeco is called Sonic Blue Bumble and Exo Suit Chama, who is also the bassist for the band and the designer of the band's logo, which is also found on this Bumblebee toy. This toy can only be obtained in one way for the price of 4000 Yen ($37.00). And that way is on their web site, only made for a Japanese audience, on November 3 and 4.

Below you can see images of the redeco of both figures along with the box, which is a windowless package often used for Takara excusives. You can also see a T Shirt they are also selling on their site which features this toy.

This band makes some really cool music, if I was able to I would definitely buy the figure to not only get a cool figure but to also support the band.

The toy here seems it could be a nice pseudo Glyph maybe.

Might have to dust off my proxy address for this. I like the band quite a bit and the colors look good. Maybe stick him with Convobat and Blue Big Convoy if they don't do the rest of the band later. Let's see what that Headmaster face looks like, it appears to be gold chromed. It's the Exo Suit Spike figure so it should be Cerebros's head. Funny how the figure box says Exo Suit, but the website says Excel Suit. It's the same thing, but more of Takara Tomy being strangely inconsistent like the Legends figure was. Meanwhile the package uses the name Bumble for English, but the Legends figure used Bumblebee. Not important and doesn't matter, just an observation.

If they do the remaining band members as figures then which figures should they use and should they all use the same Headmaster? Maybe the Exo Suit body with different faces. I'm thinking for figures they could do Beachcomber, Wheelie, and Tailgate/Swerve.

The box has a picture of the head mode, kinda reminds me of Bumblebee.

Pass for me, not a fan of the music and it just doesn't look like a figure I need. Kinda funny because I remember a time in my collecting years when I had to get everything and at one time 1 sealed and 1 to open. Although now that I think about it, I really cant remember when and why it changed. :-?

Oh, there's a tiny pic on the back, didn't notice that. Still, you'd think it'd be closer. So it's just standard Cerebros with a gold helmet to match Chama's hair then.

It is a nice colour scheme but it's a shame it's not a new character. Plus I'd love a Bugbite repaint of this mold.

I'm not fond of all the exclusives these days. They look good but stuff like the Rainmakers are already above reasonable prices due to their exclusivity and the general greed of EBay sellers.

:checks username: Still haven't watched Index III, have heard mixed opinions though. The Accelerator spin-off was up and down but I enjoyed it on the whole. It was nice to get some more development for him and Last Order.
