So about 2012 I started this goofy little thing called That's How I Roll For It (or Thirfi to save space). Not too long after that I took a hiatus due to life and I have recently started it back up. So in addition to expanding episodes, I figured I'd expand the scope of where it's posted. I'll start posting back-episodes in chunks until we're caught up (shouldn't be hard, I'm only at #36 as of writing this)

Since I'm rewriting these, I will take a little time to add background and tidbits about things in hindsight(which I will block out with some autobot symbols

for idenfication). Enjoy!

The first set of comics I did were nothing more than a few gags I had come up with the figures I had in my collection. It initiates a few small gags that would later grow into running gags as well as the basis for my in-story setting, which will be explained later.

Episode 1 - Allspark Hallows Eve

Way back in the day I would play an OLD copy of MechWarrior. One of the first things I noticed on CHUG Warpath was that if I transformed the arms into treads, it just looked a LOT like the SRM launchers on the VERY basic jenner class mech, hence the joke.

Episode 2 - Fighting like Cats and Dogs (get it? cause Ravage is a cat, and the other one's named Hound...you get it, right?...ri..DON'T JUDGE ME!)

I picked up alternators Ravage in a trade. I've got about 4 or 5 different Ravages including the USB flash drive one. This joke just seemed to write itself. I'm a big fan of physical humor, but I will admit it's hard to do in comic form.

Episode 4 - Primus is a Dick

A quick follow up to the last episode. An the beginning of a trend. Beware, Primus can be a bit of a dick.

This caps off the opening one shots. Starting in Episode 5 we begin our first proper story arc. Elements from these one-shots will continue into the story as we go.

(NOTE: you may notice that we are in a new setting. These were originally made and posted in the closing months of 2012. As such, my main stage table had been commandeered for some holiday related stuff. The temp stage lasts through this arc but we return to the main stage afterward.)

Episode 5 - Optimus Minor

*author's note: error - bottom speech bubble should be pointed at Optimus.

So yeah, I ended up trading for a few WST/STT bots. I had UB Optimus sitting around and figured his articulation was better for comics than the classic one from the Music Label bot. So the combination with Wheeljack and an extra gun bit equals shennanigans.

Not much else to say here. By this time, I was planning the whole story arc in advance and this one was just an added laugh to let everyone know this dupe ray McGuffin is gonna be a thing.

Episode 7 - Keep out of Reach of Children

Oh yeah, Mini-OP is back! He became a pretty fun character to write for, just because he does whatever I want him to do and it works. The blue thing Wheeljack is working on is just a random model I had on hand. I generally regulated non-speech bubble text to sound effects and "background" statements that aren't really important to the plot. But I think it works on Mini-OP as a principle to set him apart.

So, even after last episode's comment about non-speech bubble speech, I'll be completely honest: I JUST noticed I forgot speech bubbles on the final panel...

Episode 9 - Just a Little Invasion

Cheesy...so cheesy. I'd like to hope that my writing has improved. This story was the first chance to flesh out my world and it really gave small personality bits to everyone. Primus is an enigma, as you'll see in future episodes. Next time we see another force to rival the BotShots. Not sure why I settled on "brgl" and "drgl" as their general vocabulary. I just like the sound of it.

Thanks! ^_^ I'm hoping to catch this up to the one I post elsewhere soon. We're still in my 2012 stash (before my 3 year hiatus, lol), but working fast to get caught up. In fact here's the next arc!

Ok, so the basis of many a photocomic is either just random setting with toys or multidimensions. This pretty much is what I wanted to do, but I wanted to avoid the war stuff, plus Unicron is fun to write as the butt of jokes. So here you have Dranox!

Episode 16 - A Rose by any other Alt Form...

I'm a bit of a purist. Not a "geewuner" but definitely a detractor of Mr Bay's attempt at TF cinema. I promised myself I wouldn't go overboard with the in-universe criticisms (which is easy because I own VERY few movie bots) but some things have to be said. How are you supposed to be "in disguise" when your disguises are all either huge, obnoxiously colored or prototypes that no one has ever seen before? :michaelbay:

Ep. 17 - It's Still Rock and Roll to Me

Ah fun times. Soundwave is one of my favorite bots. Especially in the new IDW G1. Here are a few of the different versions. This was just before FOC Soundwave was released, but I made sure to grab the Disc-bots early and they make an EXCELLENT DJ booth.

Episode 18 - Not Quite as Good at Naming as Toriyama

So I gotta say, this is still one of my favorite strips, probably #1. Gave me a chance to use some various bots, including Decepticons which I realized have been pretty sparse so far. An old Strongbad joke and an homage to one of the best Photocomic makers I've seen. If you get a chance to check out Grimlock 13's first set of funnies, please do. That's the inspiration for the final panel and the whole series is just fun.

Ep. 20 - The End is....No

So this was a holiday special I did in the original run in 2012. I really like the writing in this one. Especially the 4th wall break in the final panel. This was the one that pretty much cemented Unicron and Primus's roles. Primus is the herd master of the Ponies, but they have a thing for Unicron and don't find him intimidating at all.

Furmanism's, learn them, know them, live them.

Simon Furman really is one of the best TF writers around, but his "isms" tend to be his downfall. I think I may have rushed the joke a bit. I could have added a panel of realization before the final one. And yeah, I made myself a badass looking X-Men figure. Big whoop, wanna fight about it?
