Crappy picture but gives an idea of work done.

Indeed it does, and it's looking tasty. Just trying to see what's been done and used. The sleeve around the shoulder piece looks like it was scratched (putty, maybe?). What are you using for the thighs and elbows - I don't recognise them offhand?

Left arm is completely posable. Used balljoints from Legends Fireflight.
Holding together with Crazy Glue and hot glue
Used a PowerSmith to cut the metal crotch.
Added Cyb Bushguard's rotating crotch and legs and intergrated original Bombshell legs in the process.
He is not finished, need to work on right arm and legs and paint.
I'm gonna give him a look mixed with Hard Hero statue and cartoon version.

I love it! I'm glad to see someone else doing this sort of custom, it seems like it has been a while.

I got a PowerSmith at Zellers for 13.99$. It will cut thru metal in very little time. My Dremel could'nt get thru that piece of metal.
BTW, protective glasses don't cost much and are a must have when you cut metal.

I really apreciate comments from site admins, thanks guys!
When my set of insecticons is finished, I'd like to get a custom box for the set and sell them on ebay and hope :? to have a good price for them.
If not, I'll be happy to keep them for myself.

I bet it could; if you take your time with it. you'd be surprised what those things can cut through. Especially if you can get hold of diamond cutting discs; those things are a godssend.

After 20 minutes the battery drops dead while not even 4 mm of metal was cut out.

It sounds like you may not be using the right cutting wheel. I have cut through hardened steel nails with my Dremel tool, so Diecast shouldn't be an issue.

Same here (except for the Dremel part - my rotary's a Como). Like I said, diamond cutting discs will cut through pretty much anything, but even with, say, carborundum discs you should still be able to get through most metals.

Also, you say it's battery powered? I'd definitely go with a mains transformer jobbie if you can.

I use a battery powered one myself, and, I haven't had that problem. I usually get a very long run out of a charge, even when cutting through metal.

What cutting discs do you use?

I don't know what they're called, but they're the larger brown ones that come in the 145 piece Super Accessory kit.
