Comic related question: Marvel's Comics?

Motto: "Don't do drugs, beer's cheaper anyway!"
OK now this is a bit of a random question and it's been bugging me for a while.
Now where I live Marvel comics just like DC are published by Panini-Comics and they usually include 2 US comics in each of their comics.
I remember that a long while ago, I think it was 2004, they had this really weird and random comic as a back-up in Amazing (or was it Peter Parker?) Spider-Man. This comic was titled something like "Marvel's Comics Spider-Man" and it was a weird and twisted version of the Spider-Man universe, the names and appearances of characters where different, I think I recall JJ Jameson being called TTT something. And Spider-Man was an alien monster or something with claws and fangs and he wasn't wearing a costume but the read and blue was actually his skin colour. Also Dock Ock was a squid with green very organic jet still mechanical tentacles, I recall him being defeated by crushing the arms which sent him in a sort of shock? Also I think on the last page Spider-Man was revealed to have a big "J" on his throat as if it used to be a letter on a necklace.

It#s been bugging me for a while, I would like to know more about it and if there where more than just this one issue. I can't seem to be able to find any thing online.
Thanks.

Took me awhile to figure out what you are talking about...

Marvels Comics (note the extra "s") was a 5th week event posing the question: What would comics be like in the actual Marvel Universe? Theoretically, creators in the Marvel world took their heroes and villains and made comics about them. Very meta.

There were Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil. There was also a History of Marvels Comics issue as well.

I have the Daredevil one but I can't remember much about it.

Thanks that's exactly it!
So these where just one off shots and where never continued?
It's pretty weird that wikipedia doesn't seem to mention them at all, or any other resource.

Yep, just one-shots.

When there is an extra week in a month, that means less comics to be sold within a month technically. 5 week events help fill those gaps.

We can get pretty fun comics some times. Marvel did Marvel Mangaverse, Marvel Knights 2099 (celebrating Marvel Knights anniversary), Marvel Monsters, Marvel Westerns.

Plus, it's the only time we see new What If issues.
