Halo 2 for the PC

Anyone know if you can, with the PC version of Halo 2, play it with a 360 also running Halo 2?

I tried but no effects but is it true that you must pay now on Vista, too, to go online with the games now ?

Yes you have to pay for Windows Live, but is a joint a/c with xbox live so just retrive your gamertag to your pc and away you go.
Still kind of sucks though. Windows Live is also being rolled out for XP later in the year for Gears of War.

According to all the WIndows Live stuff I saw surrounding Gears Of War Windows Live was supposed to be free. Have they changed their minds on that?
