You know, you're all missing the important and actually fun to debate question:
What automaker should grab the contract?

Nevermind that. I want KITT's operating system made by Microsoft.
Hold on tight Michael, we're going to jump this building.

I wouldn't mind seeing GM do it again. I think a Concept Camaro with a spoiler on the back would work just fine. (Heck, it even has the hood notch for the sensor bar!)
Ford sucks (other than the GT40, and no show could even afford using that as the main vehicle.)
Dodge just looks...well...the cool looks went out to pasture once the Viper became less popular.
So...yeah, GM would be nice.

I'm sooo wanting to see that.
"Hey Devon? What's the blue screen of death?"
"I'm sorry that happened Michael, especially during a turbo boost that sent you airborne, but hey, we're pullin' for ya. The air bag works at least. Oh...wait, hang on a second... What's that Bonnie? Oh...everything's electronically controlled on the car, you say? Merde. Oh! Uh... I mean...good luck!"
*WHAM*
Yeah...I'd tune in for that one. Heck yeah!

Problem is, there's no Trans Am left in existence. Nor will there be (as far as we know)...so a Concept Camaro is as close as you're gonna get.
Unless GM would come up with another hot concept vehicle for this, like they did for TransFormers.

Michael will have to amuse himself with the hourglass icon for a while, after turning on the ignition.

Having recently watched reruns of KR, I gotta say it sucked. 55 minutes of Hoff running around, and five minutes of KITT actually doing something interesting. A new series could be good, as long as they do more with the concept than the original series did.
Oh, and a crime-fighting boat? Been done, by the genius that is Terry "Hulk" Hogan. Here's hoping Thunder In Paradise gets another series soon.

For anyone who hasn't seen Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted here.

Sound's like a Bayformers movie. 25 minutes of total bot time. The rest are useless plot of humans running around, doing crazy unrelated stuffs.

Actually I read a rumor that due to the popularity of the cc that Gm may consider ressurecting the trans am in a couple years and share chassis, like they used to.

KARR wasn't evil. He was just naive, programmed for self preservation. People just mistake him for evil because he was found by thugs that corrupted him for evil. And in the second one, he wasn't evil per se, he just wanted revenge.

Pedantry! I doff my hat to you, good sir! You're quite right, I suppose. Though playing with that fellow's pacemaker was poor form.

Pacemaker? That must be in his second ep which I haven't seen in many years unfortunatly. But the guy was probably in the way of his revenge. Not evil. Just determined, no matter the cost.

I wish I could watch that ep now. It's been far too long since I saw it. But he isn't voiced by Cullen in it. He sounds terrible from what I see on youtube.

Yes, it's not Cullen. I forget the chap's name but I think he is credited at the end. K.A.R.R. also gets a two-tone black and silver colour scheme. Also, his front scanner mysteriously changes to a yellowy-green (matching his vocal display above the steering wheel), whereas in "Trust Doesn't Rust" it was red like K.I.T.T.'s.
"K.I.T.T. vs K.A.R.R." is, in my view, one of the better episodes because, whereas most episodes end with a cheesy joke or laughter, this one ends with a cliffhanger that's never resolved later in the show.
