I guess an easy way to tell if a repaint Landmine would be an Autobot would be if the faction symbol were stamped into the plastic. Like Universe Razorclaw, the BW Tigerhawk Decepticon repaint, the Maximal sign is a part of the plastic on the chest, but there's something in his bio story that explains why he's a Con anyway. So I guess if the symbol isn't painted on or a sticker they'd either have to repaint it as an Autobot or make up some story of why he has an Autobot sign but isn't an Autobot.

I'm against the idea of releasing a repainted Hot Rod as anyone. The mold is too distinct to work as any other character.

Optimal optimus would be perfect for apeface and id love to see a headmaster retool for it too. retool the cockpit section and its got a use now

I probably won't get around to doing a bot mode. I did the vehicle in my Illustration class, and it took for EVUR. I doubt I can get it done in between other projects. This semester is insane.
