screen actors are next to strike???
I hear that screen actors are going to strike now. Will that effect the new movie or are they mainly television actors?

I heard it on another message board. I figured if it was not true someone here might know.

Well if it does happen, it's not going to impact produciton much, just when the human stuff gets done. They'd probably have most of the robots stuff done by the time they bring in the human actors If anything, this would probably mean more screentime for the robots, since the introduction stuff has been taken care of with the main characters.

“And the prospect of a writers’ strike that could lead into a directors’ strike that could then lead into an actors’ strike was very frightening,” he said on the phone[b]..."
Here is the link to the full story or at least one of them I found online...

So yes it is true and I've heard about this for some time now and it still could happen.

I dont get why they have to strike. They make more money then anything and they are complaining and for what? I wish i could get paid for being in a blockbuster movie. You wouldnt see me striking.

Well that's cool but you would have to honor the terms of the strike as a member of the actors guild otherwise you would be ostracized, sanctioned and probably drummed out of hollyweird.
I like that term "drummed out"

I'm surprised you haven heard about the possibility of the actor's strike. They've been talking about it for over a year now.Even Wiki has had a artical on the topic for some time.

It was taought that after the writters strike was finished and the Director's strike avoided like it was that SAG would begin negotiating a deal but they seem to be streching the issue.
The dead line for the deal is June 30th.

Not to sound rude but do you have any idea how many members the Screen Actors Guild has????
If you dont the last time I checked it was 139,200 members.
And do you also have any idea just how many of that 139,200 star in blockbuster movies???
I dont know but I got to figure it has to be under 5%.And at the same time I got to figure that less then 30% of their membership have a regular gig that they can depend on.And those that do have little to no job security.
Yeah the Holly Wood big stars may have no need to strike but for every George Clooney classed actor in holly wood theres 100 out of work actors that may have lost their jobs trew no fault of their own and a strike to insure other incomes may be the only was to live.
Its very ignorant to pass judgment on what others need to do to survive with out first looking into the reasons why they need to do it.
