So yesterday, before i decided to give my concept bumblebee to my girlfriend, I took a close look at the racing stripe, and found (not suprisingly) a load of small but noticable scratches.

It seems that all the movie figures have thinly applied paints, so i was wondering...

Would it help if you coated the alt mode with a few layers of sealer?

When I got my scion alternator last week or so it had mass scratches on the hood and I just took it out of the bubble prison too. Musta been a hard knock life. o.O

That would really depend on how much you use, and if it would interfere with any of the transformation.

I think it would be safe enough to give 08 Bumblebee a few coats, as none of his panels come that close during transformation.

Are you sure that they are scratches, and just not terribly bad paint apps?

every bumblebee i looked at had a problem with the stripe. even the one i thought was best, the stripe is crooked right next to the rear window! poor QC on hasbro's part

Yeh even though I don't have 2008 Bumblebee Deluxe yet my 1974 Bumblebee Deluxe stripes are fine. Australia gets really good quality ones
