They'll probably put them in the sequel. I figure that's next. They already used the Romulans.
I'd like to see some Klingons myself...
Maybe I can get a part as an extra

Turtle head type........already have the head gear.

Well, since they practically recast the original crew, the creators of this series could consider recasting one of the original Klingons. It would be great to see either Kor, Koloth, or Kang again, if in a different role.

Yea that was the first thing I noticed there. A lot better outcome than having to use a blinking light to communicate. Hopefully he gets out of the thing by the next film, he was one of my favorite characters in this film
And his admiral's uniform looked like Kirk's from the Motion Picture

Well, cameos for the other two fellas, and new young Kang, Kor, and Koloth for the bulk of the film?

I think I meant the old characters recast with younger actors. Although it will be very hard to follow Calicos, Campbell, and Ansara.

I thought it was OK, not bad but not great either, it didn't feel like Star Trek to me. Not the best Star Trek movie ever made that is a tie between Star Trek II and Star Trek Nemesis (Yes, IMHO Star Trek: Nemesis is better than the current one) not the worst one either (that's Star Trek V).
I thought the new Spock was the best of the bunch, the rest were OK but I'm so used to TOS cast voices and that was hard for me to get used to these new guys voices. I kind of wish that they wouldn't have the whole "alternate timeline/time traveling paradox" plot device which gave me a headache they should just went for either a straight reboot or prequel. My biggest gripe was the music I didn't like the score it just felt wrong to me.
Just sort of an average summer sci-fi action movie.

I thought putting "Sabotage" in there when they did was great.
And I do like Wrath of Khan, but my favorite Trek movie is Generations.
Also, what the hell was Tyler Perry doing in this movie? Is he a Trekkie or something?

That is exactly what I though. I really dislike that guy the way he thinks he has put his name in front of all of his movies and such. I get it you made a movie. Move on.

I recognize the name from somewhere, and I'm sure if someone started listing off shows/movies I would recognize some titles - but I didn't know his face when he turned up in the movie...

Let's see...he released about 10 movies in the last 2 years, each having his name in front of the title. Such as
Tyler Perry's (insert movie title here)
also he came out with 2 or 3 TV shows in the same season for TBS, and supposedly they were very successful. I saw the ads and was immediately disinterested. They seem to be the Wayans Bros. for the new millenium. Except the Wayans Bros. were somewhat entertaining. Then again, I was 10 years younger...

The only thing that comes to mind is Tyler Perry's House of Payne (pain?). It was advertised on TBS, the WB, or something....

Bingo! If you don't know who he was in the movie, he was the head of Starfleet Acadamy. It would have been the best if they made him Chief Engineer Olsen. I would have laughed my @$$ off seeing him getting vaporized.

I skimmed the whole article and don't recognize any titles other than "Tyler Perry's House of Payne". So I'm not completely out-of-the-loop, but I'm close...
Of course, I watch very little TV and cut my cable shortly after Christmas....
