FP wins by default unfortunately.
Unfortunately? Don't you like FP's take?
I think the FP FX figures going by Code are perfect the height is spot on nice tight joints clean paint apps great transformation excellent alt mode. The rest appear be bringing the same formula from the prototypes , i know we will have to wait to find out if weirdwolf pulls it off next but the detail on WW & BS plus the heads is screaming flawless victory to me.

Exactly. This is one time Toyworld could learn a lot from FP.Autobot Genocide wrote:Arctorro wrote:Code is my single favourite FP release and the upcoming Headmasters look to be just as good (I'm guessing it is entirely due to whoever they got to design them). This looks AWESOME!
ToyWorld are seriously becoming my favourite 3rd Party procucers and this great looking release looks set to highten that.
Not sure why folks are moaning as he seems to be just the right sizing for the type of futuristic/Cybertronian jet that he is, and not really tiny like the FP offering?
After all, he isnt a car like Chromedome, so why would he be the same size!

I like his bulk/size and looks pretty cool alongside Hardhead.
If ToyWorld make the other Headmasters I hope they maintain their scaling because they are ruling right now!

FP have been taking many a knock of late so the quality and consistancy of ToyWorlds products make this the winner of the two offerings.
Keep up the good work ToyWorld!

Yes, thank you.
The comparison really helps.
Both designs have strengths and weaknesses.
I just got Hardhead in, but haven't opened him up yet.
I want to test him out before I decide which line to continue.
I was really impressed with the FP headmaster ... all except the actual headmaster unit, it had crappy articulation. Can't wait to try the TW offering.

Re: Toyworld TW-H02 Brainwave
I wasn't sold on the plane mode for this one at first, but now having seen bot mode, I'm definitely getting this. Hardbone is awesome, so I'm not concerned about quality issues etc.

Odd, they have it listed for the exact same price as BBTS. Aren't they usually cheaper?

Re: Toyworld TW-H02 Brainwave
You can tell Fansproject is inspired by the Japan Headmasters series.
I recently bought the Headmasters DVD and I actually quite enjoyed it compared to season 3. I know a lot of people pan it on here.
I prefer its Headmasters character animation designs better than the season 4 Headmaster designs.

I'll go with TW on the Headmasters, not really a fan of the size of FP version. Don't mind the alt mode, CHURGs always consist of an 'upgrade' for the G1 alt mode
*EDIT
Plus, Hardbone rocks!

Brainwave for some reason doesn't look as good as Hardbone. Maybe it's the pastel looking colors. Maybe it's the soulless eyes Mkall pointed out earlier. I'm just not feeling it with this one.
Plus, the X-Wing alt mode is bugging me a lot too.

Wow - the comparison is really, really stark. Size and other-wise.
The way I see it, the difference between ToyWorld and FP is very similar to the difference between TFC and MMC.
One produces figures that are much more "toy-like" and have great play-ability, while the other produces pieces that skew towards the collector's tastes.
If I had to pick, I'd probably go with FP. Their Headmasters hark back to the original Headmasters designs, and seem more intricate and detailed. Just sucks that I'm over-budgeted as it is with MPs, Feral Rex, and Initimidator (not to mention assorted Generations figures and Metroplex).

I guess I shouldn't complain, we being at the zenith of TF collecting and all...
