Stuff I Can't Stand But Is Too Numerous To List So Its Gotta Go In Catagories...

Rap. Some rap I esteem, but basically being 'real' and singing about drugs, murder and using women as sex objects isn't exactly edifying, now is it? Especially when the artists act like utter materialistic sex-driven swine and then gush about their exploits, just comes across as pathetic in reality. It's like they're crying for attention.

Country. It is digestable, in small doses.

Britney Spears. I only like a few of her songs, but the rest is blech.

Tupac was very real and very talented. I know this thread is about songs you hate, but you should check him out.

Using women as sex objects in music is not exclusive to rap. I can think of plenty of rock and pop that does the same.

Riannan. She is so full of it. Fake look and songs that sound like random phrases put together.
Ciara. Terrible songs and her lyrics sound as random as Rianna.
R and B. The laziest genre ever next to Country and Western.
Emo. It is all nearly there rifs and weak lyrics.

Hi there, person I don't know: But I SECOND THIS. OMG. I'm actually at the point where any fic I read that quotes her 'song lyrics' is an automatic !fail to me.

(Then again, songfics are in that suspicious territory to begin with).

Also, and I'm sure someone WILL actually stone me to death for this one: anything by Air Supply. Dear god it was bad enough when I was a kid and the songs were top40. At least there was an excuse!!

I always hated Natalie Imbruglia when I was younger, but waking to "That Day" for a month is enough to send even the strongest willed a little mental. Never mind every morning for 3 years! My view of her is a little different now though. Johann Lippowitz doing Natalie Imbruglia - Torn at The Secret Policeman's Ball was one of the funniest performances I have ever seen.

There are a lot of songs that I don't like. But I must say that the song that I hate most of all is Champagne Supernova by Oasis. I really don't like it, and yet it sticks in my head so that I end up annoying myself for the rest of the day.
