There's three reasons why there is going to be another one

1) Transformers rock and it'd be stupid not to make another

2) It made lots of money

3) What happened to barricade and scorponok....

They already did the "green light" thing for a second movie

Plus these days, you can't make these types of movies not have any sequels.

The studio will want a sequel as soon as possible. I wouldn't be surprised if they're already writing a script now...

more then likely when they were writing the script for movie 1 they prob had alot of ideas already for movie 2

plz..no unicron. atleast not yet! we aaaalll know there will be more than just 2. easily a trilogy..perhaps more, but of course, they wont be as good.

That and he's been the big boss villain in nearly every cartoon since the movie. He's just so...done.

i think for the movie they already had a release date set before any production began. so im guessing that when they green lit the second film they already had a release date set. :-?
