Yep. That's what it sounds like. A scam. Don't ring back because they sound like a scam. Or it's a telemarketing thingy where they dial a whole bunch of numbers at once and the first to pick up is the one they talk to and hang up on the rest. It's automated, so thats why you might get the prolonged thing.

Most of the movie toys look rubbish in robot modes. The only decent ones IMO are Blackout and Prime. Blackout being the only one I'm even remotely interested in owning. And even then, not at full price. Only if I see him on reduction.

Seconded. I like the Ford Mustang but I'd rather buy an Alt Wheeljack and spray it myself than get a movie toy.

I will see the movie, but I think that this techno organic business looks shite. A single shot from a fusion cannon would reduce the characters to a pile of slag.

I had grown out of Transformers when G2 and Beastwars arrived, but I can appreciate Beastwars - the clever story writing and character profiles helped that.

Whereas I can appreciate Beastwars for doing something different, the movie makes the figures look like parodies of Guyver.

Hm, maybe the only positive I'll find from the movie figures is a new appreciation of Gen 1!

I think that this is the first line that I've sneered at. Okay, I wasn't a fan of Energon, but they had Gestalts which I could appreciate. For want of another word the line looks shite.

I'll be buying Barricade and Blackout. And Ratchet or the Ratchet repaint if it comes out over here. Maybe Ironhide, as I currently have deluxe Armada Prime as a stand-in. And maybe Starscream. I'll be buying 70's Bumblebee as I love his alt.mode (especially more than the zit-like 2008 version). Maybe Jazz, too. Maybe Prime and Megatron. Maybe not Prime and Megatron.

Argos in Reading has a Ratchet in stock, used to have two but now I have one

Couyldn't resist opening him (despite odd looks from everyone else at work...) and he's great! Wasn't expecting much but am v impressed, looks like I might be buying more of the movie toys than I planned.

Ladies and Gentlemen, those of us who do not have one of the Ford GT Alternators,(probably most of us!!) whether it is Mirage or Kiss Players Rodimus, have been shafted by Hasbro AGAIN!!! The new Alternator Ford GT Rodimus is a SDCC exclusive like Nemesis Prime, and since Hasbro seem reluctant to release Mirage over here anyway, it's gonna be difficult to get this sucker!!!

There are two, one in the retail park across the road from TRU (that's the one that I got Ratchet from) and on in the town centre in the Brad St Mall near Games Workshop (or near MKone if yr shopping with a girlie

) Dont know what that one has, apart from a lack of leader class TFs.

I'm less disgruntled today as the Classics Ultra Magnus and Skywarp set have finally arrived. I haven't picked any classics yet (the better half was with me at the time) but I am mighty tempted by these figures.

Internet money-transfers are so messy.

My disgruntlement led me to getting into a fight with someone at my college.

I won of course, but I have been getting angrier and angrier of late.

I really hate Hasblo. They make me so angry with their flipping off the rest of the world in favour of the US.
I have nothing against the US, but I still really hate them for this.

Screwed over cos I'm British.

Forget nukes, lets burn them alive, each and every one of them. Hasblo I mean.

EDIT:- Maybe we should start a Hasblo and Hasblo UK flaming thread for our more passionate displays of hatred?
I think it should be PG-15, cos then I can swear about Hasblo to my heart's content!!!

Well, I'm disgruntled like hell today. I reserved a couple of movie deluxe figs at Argos over the internet. And then, when I went to collect them, they'd reserved the same two figs! And they were the last two in stock as well!
