To those who lost a level, i empathise a lot, especially since i just went up a level on saturday and i'm now back to my original level. Of course, not like it matters with HMW 2.0 coming up but playing level 5 again after playing level 6 just doesn't cut it.

Same here I know what each character had in the millions my top two went from 18 mil to 9 and 10 I just don't fell like fighting to get back up there and then we have to reset anyway

Not that HMW backups are a huge deal now what with version 2 rolling out in less than a month, but when we are on version 2 and there's no reset pending, it would be a big blow to lose 6 weeks of data. Its a good bit more than 6 weeks data as Sniper Samurai and Blitzkrieg went up to level 5 at the end of February and I now don't have a single lvl 5 con.

Damn. When I got on today and saw that some of my 'bots had 30-40K available xp, I thought OS had lost his mind and given us a huge boost! But when I went to View Team and saw that Boltbrain had lost about 30K xp and that Alpha Convoy, Firestorm-X, and Wolf-Bane were part of my team, I knew something bad happened. Well, "bad" is not the right word (sorry OS), more like a setback occured, a frickin' big one too. While my losses are not as big as others, they're still a blow to me:

-Lost about 300K total XP when I was about 90K from breaking a million.
-All of my characters lost considerable XP, dropping their stats from a point where I was doing pretty good.
-Lost several altmodes-the tank altmode that's in Supercollider's sig, the Lion altmode that won't show up for a long time, the Cybertron Prime fire truck, and others.

I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna keep going and try to earn back all my stuff. This certainly does give me a chance to do things differently and to improve. But crazyfists already said it, it's no fun losing XP.

If this version wasn't ending soon then maybe but since it is supposed to I will wait and spend all my time in the next version I won't quit this one but I won't play the 6am to 12 at night that i was before

In the grand scheme of things this could have been alot worse, but with the massive changes that are happening to the game you can see why the reset has to come.

I thought I would wake up and it would all be a bad dream - not a nightmare!

Seems like it was restored further back than April. My namesake Pyro Nosra was at 10.5M in April, and I am knocked back to 7.3M - and that's after whatever "everyone a large XP boost" was given. I have not been at 7M since February! And this is around when sprockitz and cbj and I were in the 3M dash (lots of fun) - so things started taking off around here (sleepless nights).

Kind of an eye opener after PN being at 16.1M yesterday morning!

I agree, but the way i see it is that we are still fighting the same people, in the same mission format. We still have all our weapons and energon so other than the odd K knocked off our score, whats the difference?

I don't have time to inspect the damage I've suffered, but looking from the registry I can tell that all my people have gone down a level except for my top 2 gals. I still have xp records from Sunday since I keep weekly tabs on them, but sadly, I didn't bother with having a backup of their configurations. And goodness knows, my memory can throw fits at times. :cry:

And I very much empathize with you, Tammuz. I, too, thought I could handle the big reset. But after getting a taste of it... *shakes head* It hurt me a lot more than I believed it would. You're not the only one having doubts about playing HMW after the reset; us Autotwins are having those thoughts as well.

Also, until I have the time to figure out the mess, I'm leaving my people inactive.

Because they were kicking butt?

Even if I can't get the XP back, I think I may try to convince OS to zero out the stats on my team so I can attempt to recofigure without losing some of my prized alts - like Northclaw's Beserk Fury.

Wow, I go to bed and miss all the excitement!

I actually didn't notice it for a few minutes, but once I visited the registry and noticed that there were Transformers on my team that I hadn't had on there in MONTHS... It was a big "wtf" moment for me. XD

Just spent the last half hour switching names, deleting chars, reformatting, installing armor, all that good stuff. Sucks that now three of my chars are out of their altmodes (Mkall's pegasus, the Stampy bunny, and the Polar Bear), but hey, no biggie. I can kick back and wait for the rotator to spit 'em out if that's still in working order.

The wierd thing (that I bet has been mentioned already) is that bios and our weapons stores have pretty much stayed in tact. I still have my four Kremzeeks and one Black Magic that were there yesterday... O.o;

Still though, like TS I'm gonna drop a line to OS to see if there's not something I can do to get some of my exp back. I was only a few upgrades away from Level 8, and to be booted back down to L. 5 really stings... XD
