Nope...they already got the guys distributing the steroids and HGH illegally: Victor Conte and Greg Anderson. All they wanted from Barry is help nailing those two. His testimony was in regards to their ring of illegal distribution. however, when they questioned him- despite a significant amount of proof- he denied anything and wouldn't coorperate in exchange for immunity from prosecution. I'd kind of wondered what prosecution they had been talking about...now I think I know; it looks like they knew he was lying and offered a way out during his testimony. He blew it...and now is facing 4 counts of perjury and 1 count of obstruction.

I would've taken the deal personally...

Don't care about doing something illegal if it shouldn't be anyway. Laws are not the highest authority.

Uh...yes they are, dude. That's kind of why you can be arrested for not following laws. That's why, in some places, you can be KILLED for not following laws. That's why, in most places, you can be removed from society for years at a time for not following laws.

In Michigan, we have a law where killing someone gets you put away indefinitely. Kind of like the law where if you have certain amounts of certain drugs, even if you're not going to sell it, you can be put away for around twenty years. And guess what? There's no stopping them.

They have certain limits, though. They can't just put you away if they can't prove you did something. But it's not a perfect world, and even if you didn't, there's a chance you can get put away for someone else's crime.

So...yeah. Laws are the highest authority. I'm not sure why you'd think otherwise.

Why should it not be illegal? I think I know what you mean by laws not being the HIGHEST authority...however, in the living world they are very high.

I really, really hope you don't mean religion.

There is no way in heck that any religious doctrine should ever overrule the law of the land. That borders on insanity.

Back on topic:

Personally, if Barry Bonds has lied, and is found guilty of such, then he should never be admitted to the Hall of Fame, regardless of his career performances...
