I've had Legacy but just picked up The Ultimate Guide. It'll give you all the G1 feels and make you want to find even MORE of them. It's amazing how many I have, and clearly had (parts/accessories/instructions/tech specs..yet no figure?! I knew that kid took them!!). It's like TransformerLand in your hand!! Not in your hand on an internet connected device!! :lol:

Yes, I got some ideas for E-Drift, Cary! I hope to get some quality shots with him sooooooon. It was absolutely DAT DECO for me as well -- and I wanted this mold of Drift himself, even if my head-canon will need to explain his existence....

I wish I could have been a subscriber to the Transformers Collectors' Club.

Not just to have known about their exclusives back then, but just to receive the magazine and geek out over them! If any of you were subscribers, I'd love to know what the perks were and your experience before the club ended.

Now, I remember seeing many of the exclusives, including Double Pretenders, cool redecos...which brings me to my recent purchase of Shattered Glass Drift!

Actually, shaj, those swords came with each figure!

SG-Drift's sword looks especially sweet, with its steel-like shine.

-Two little swords (that are sheathed in his cardoors!)

Yeah, I hope you knew beforehand, but that is 100% a MT sword. He's supposed to come with the same one as the Generations one.

I did not, and you totally called it shaj! The original isn't there, unless it's hidden somewhere...will check later. :/

Either way, I do dig the MT sword, but of all the things SG-Drift came with, the QC with the MT blade was different....not perfectly straight/flat. I don't think the vintage shop knew either, and I love this figure enough that I won't take it back -- but that's disappointing.

But! You could buy a set of Eness Swords!
(I'm pretty sure they made red jewel'd versions too)

Although I am only actively seeking Thunderwing, Carnivac & Bludgeon, I can not pass up a deal when I see one.

On eBay, I ran across a Bomb-Burst (aka, BB; only missing a single gun) with a starting bid of 19.99, and Submarauder for the same price, same seller.

But then I noticed that something was not quite right -- the two had their inner-bots swapped! I wrote the seller to tell him (including a pic for his reference), and went for broke: I offered $30 for both.

An hour later, he accepted! So now I have Bomb-Burst & Submarauder on their way. I did buy BB's second blue gun for $5 as well, so both will be 100% complete.

With Submarauder joining my crew, I'd say the naval assault & salvage getting an undersea warfare specialist makes me feel like I missed an opportunity to have them take on TR Broadside. So you can bet your sweet 'Bots if I see him at Ross, Imma buy!

I honestly bought the lot for Bomb-Burst, though -- I mean, his official role with the Decepticons is: the Predator.

Hey Cram! I have tried to seek out the stickers for all dem Pretenders, with varying degrees of success...

Of all of them, Finback was about a 5 or 6 out of 10 (for condition) and could've used some new stickers. But no luck finding a sheet, and I defer to my laziness. The rest look pretty good or retain their original stickers, fortunately!

LOL, no kidding, Shaj! Kanrabat had the best vintage toy store with all dem Pretenders, forcing him to buy 'em all up. He basically got all the greats, so perhaps the next time he wants to clean-house, I can help.

But you know that part of the fun is the Hunt itself! Virtual or at nearby brick & mortar shops.

Speaking of the Hunt....in my head-canon, Shattered Glass Drift is the guardian/hunter-killer of my TF dimension. As such, I've given him all Judge Dredd-like duties. :SG-BOTS:

Judge, jury & dimensional fragment ELIMINATOR. I woulda preferred Trans-dimensional TERMINATOR, but whatevs. Most 'Conts call me the Mech with a Mouth. Or Shattered-D. And Evil-D. You catch my drift.
