I like his value to the Decepticons! I wish he would be explored mored! I hope IDW uses him and the rest of the Insecticons!

I'd like to see all 7 Insecticons explored in the IDW comics. In fact during Sixshot's Spotlight story you see a cameo of Ransack, so hopefully they'll get some comic time. Of course I really hope my personal favorite Insecticon, Kickback, will get both comic book time and some much deserved respect.

Ransack is hardly ever used!

He and the other Deluxe Insecticons got some comic book time in the 80's Marvel run and in Dreamwave's War Within (2 and 3) and Micromaster's mini series'. The reason the four Deluxe Insecticons weren't used in the cartoon was Takara asked Hasbro not to. The why for that was they licensed the charectors from another charector in Japan. (Well bought out is more like it, but somehow the other company still held the likeness rights or something along those lines.) They were all pretty cool looking and if you read their bios (either toy or comics) they were all bad asses.

Not as much as Bombshells cerebro-shells! Just being able to control somebody is awesome!

I only really ever liked the 3 Insecticons that were on the show. I always loved Bombshell's voice (As well as Scrapper) & his ability to control almost anybody (Except Megatron, who was able to catch his Cerebro shell & crush it in his hand) I liked Shrapnel because he was crazed w/Electricity & was just plain creepy because he repeated the last word of every sentence. Kickback.............Kickback was.....I dunno. I can't think of anything for him.

Kickback was basically the ninja of the group. A mech of few words, he prefered to let his actions speak for him. Kickback took down and badly injured Jetfire with just one mule kick while in his grasshopper mode. He also had a gun that looked very much like a laser Tommy Gun. In the comics he was considered to be one of the most feared and dangerious of the Decepticons and when the Wreckers first appeared he was one of the targets of Operation Volcano. Yeah the elite Autobot Commando unit felt he and the other Insecticons along with Thrust,Dirge,Ramjet,Octane, and Blitzwing were a big enough threat to assassinate.

Got two of the deluxe Insecticons and I definitely prefer them to the main three Insecticons.

Weapon: Dual Laser Beam Rifle
I only had Venom for the deluxes plus the show's three and Kickback is my fave bug..with Venom being #2.

I do also hope the deluxes get their time in the sun, and I hope the Insecticons get deployed as well. I wonder what the IDw take will be?

I mean the Marvel had them as soldiers like any other, the show had them as rogues with a tenuous relationship with Megs and co at best, and DW had them as Shockwave's hidden allies with an Aliensesque atmosphere, the freaky creatures hiding in the shadows.

Never considered Kickback being a ninja of few words...with a tommy gun. That gives him a higher sense of badassery.

When I was a kid I thought Shrapnel was female. That voice of his always confused me.

Kickback was a ninja! He has an impulse to kick things, and he blert out the words HEEEEYAH everytime he kicked something!
