Brawl infiltrating the set of XXX 2?

Postby Saberwing » Sun Aug 19, 2007 8:14 am

XXX2 is a gad awful film - but if that isnt Brawl running about!

Whats the story behind this - did Bay just pull the prop from that film for Transformers?

...or is Brawl secretly moving unnoticed through Hollywood?

Brawl = Modified M1 Abrams Tank

M1 Abrams Tank = Main Battle Tank of the USA = Most common form of comissioned tank in USA

I do believe it says somewhere that he is in fact the shooting model for XXX 2.

Edit: "According to Picture Vehicle Coordinator Steve Mann, the filming prop of Brawl was a redress of a tank prop made for another movie [1]. Specifically, it was the 'stealth tank' seen in the film XXX: State of the Union."

I haven't seen it either bumblebeeman, but it looked awful.

General, I guess they are referring to it having all those different angles on it's chassis and turret that a M1 doesn't have. I dunno, supposed to reflect radar or something? Since I haven't seen the movie, I can only assume it's a silly redress design used as a plot vehicle.

Like the article I read about using this prop (it's not a real tank, it's built on a Semi chassis), Transformers already had the cooperation of the military, so why didn't they just use a real M1? The stealth tank is dumb looking and if they are supposed to be robots in disguise, surely someone is going to notice the heavily modified M1 lurking around the base.
