Then I bet someone decided to just throw in random bid amounts, which kept jacking up the first guys bid. So what the second guy did is kept bidding, until he was the high bidder. And then he revoked his last bid. Leaving the first guy with a $200 bid on a $40 figure.

Very possible. It's amazing how many people will bid on things just to drive the price up...

I thought there was a penalty for revoking a bid though?

Normally you have to place another bid. But I've retracted one before with the explanation that the item description was different from the item pictured and got out of it.

Question: This almost sounds like something that happened to me yesterday. I put $10 as a maximum bid for a (mislabeled) Classics Megatron. I was the second highest bidder, but the winner retracted his bid and I was offered the item for $10 (with 7.02 shipping). Did I get cheated?

Ok, everyone else, get our your fat wad. The entry fee is $200.

I was an idiot and passed on grabbing one on sale for $40 because I was broke. Curse my former lack of a credit card! That said, I wouldn't pay more than say... $80 shipped for one.

The reason for this is, most probably that some Germans want him.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

'Shill' bidding like that ruins eBay for everyone. That is why I wait 'til the last minute to bid and snipe it instead. Less chance of someone taking advantage of my max bid over an extended period of time through the aforementioned 'shilling' process.

This is pure bullshit. Back when the Galv came out, I had to climb over piles of him to reach other figs. He was such a shelfwarmer. WTF

In answer to your original question, no Cybertron Galvy is not worth that much. He may look better than Cybertron Megs but still not worth $200 bucks!
