Heh. There's threads (yes, multiples) already in existence.

I'll go ahead and answer this though, since you're a noob, and it'll be easier for you to find the info.

1.) He is a confirmed Wal-Mart exclusive.

2.) We've heard a small list of release times.

They include:
September (according to TransFormers.com, the official Hasbro site. This has since been proven wrong.)

October (according to Action-H-Q, they claim it's due to ship out October 15th or 16th. Apparently this hasn't happened, because none of the people who preordered him have said it shipped to them. So this looks to have been proven wrong as well.)

November (according to a tag on the display shelf at BotCon. Most likely this one will be the correct date. Many of us believe it'll be a Black Friday exclusive.)

eBay auctions claim December or January, other posters claim we're not getting him at all. (none of this is true. It'll be before December, and we are definitely getting him.)

So as you can see, we are getting him. Wal-Mart will be the place, and as she said, it's dependent on the store as to when it'll be on the shelves. However, she didn't realize exactly how the stores work. So we can't hold it against her.

Here's where she's wrong:

1.) They're shipping to Wal-Mart warehouse/distribution centers now.

2.) Once they arrive, and invoices hit the system, etc...then the warehouses will start shipping them to the stores.

So, yeah, she's right, generally, but, it could be weeks to months, depending on the store. However, since the warehouses are getting them in as we speak, and BotCon said November...we will see him within the next month's worth of time.

No worries, he's coming. To Wal-Mart. We'll get him.

I couldn't figure out which thread was the main one for USA MP Starscream. Amazon Japan just put a listing for USA MP Starscream. Last time I heard something about him- we were all speculating that it was a WM exclusive and all the hobby shops would be getting their MPs from WM. Amazon Japan only purchases items directly from the manufacturer. How are they getting it if its a WM exclusive?
They never buy from Wal-Mart.

Not sure if the one Takara is selling is an import or they just bought stock from the Hasbro factory, or had a deal to get a certain amount.. but I do know for sure it's gonna be in Hasbro Packaging in Japan...

Takara will also be producing MP SS G1, IMHO much better than Hasbro because of less smoke-damage and much cleaner-looking paintjob.

Takara will also be producing MP SS G1, IMHO much better than Hasbro because of less smoke-damage and much cleaner-looking paintjob.

Thanks Zemper and Skywarp-2. I will probably go for the Takara version if the price drops or I can find it cheap. 10,000 yen is alot of USD, esp when you add shipping to the US.

hey, I'm sorry if this was already mentioned somehwere in the forum, but why is Takara's version more expensive compared to Hasbro's? I preordered Hasbro's version from a toy shop and the owner said the only difference was that Takara's will have the takara sticker on it, and that he'll be in by November (for Malaysia, but I'm not certain yet). But I kept hearing Hasbro's version will have a "battle damaged" look on it? Hope someone can clear up my confusion.

I'm not traveling, but I dread Black Friday. I use to love it till I moved to the outskirts of Houston- its nuts here. Ive resorted to buying everything online at 3am that day, but with exclusives having the possibility of being available that day- I may have to face the crowds.

That would be an instore date of November 2nd. (Not saying on the shelves, but in STORE, somewhere.) which would be doable. Throw out the UPC, have 'em pulled from the back, get him, voila. This would cancel out the chance that he'd be BFB material.

Three weeks would be November 9th, which would be great honestly. Everyone's gotten their paychecks in (so fresh money to blow, LOL) and he would still not be a Black Friday Blitz item. (yay.)

Four weeks would be November 23rd...Black Friday, which would solidify his BFB placehold.

And...well...let's think about this. A-HQ got their's now. Meaning the entire line of him has been made and is on the move. He's in transit to WM stores as we speak (according to Hasbro) and Robot Kingdom says on their eBay auctions that he's due November 1st. (This would fit the two week scheme)

But...as things are shaping up...it does seem like he'll be a Black Friday Blitz item. Although, (I'd think) he'd be in the stores before Friday morning, considering the sale starts at 6:00 AM, but...weirder things have happened.

I had checked yesterday and he was presale so let's go with the 3 weeks to move him overseas, get him to the WM distribution centers, and then to the stores. That would definitely put him in BF territory. I just don't do BF. Sleeping in alone is worth at least 40-50 bucks for me.

If I do order him and am wrong (he's out early and he's plentiful), I guess I'll just have to love him twice as much as someone who got him from the stores!

That price is just too high. I don't enjoy the thought of standing outside a Wal-Mart at 4:30 am BF morning, dozing off from all the turkey I've had, but $90 + shipping is too much.

It is good to know that someone has them, they're real, and will be here soon though. Here's hoping the UPC trick works BEFORE BF.

Agreed-it's a lot. However, I've thrown $ away before-pissed it away if you count years of drinking-so this won't be any different for me.

My thought is that this guy might wind up like the Metallic Best Buy exclusives. Not there, don't get one (and I won't be there for sure if it's BF). Let's look at Alternators Rumble and Ravage. Like you, I'm all over Walmarts and I never saw either one in stores. If that happens, you'll be subjected to eBay pricing and I also suspect that the price on sites such as ActionHQ, etc. will also go up. Just look at the other MP seekers. My rational: it's no worse than what I would spend on a good night out. And since my 4 month old doesn't allow me to have those any more, this will have to suffice.

And I agree, if this is put out in the small numbers of the Best Buy figures, nothing short of first in line BF morning will get you a Starscream.

Let's hope its released in the numbers of DVD Prime, though I doubt it will ever be that kind of shelf-warmer.

Really? My WM had gobs of those and they were selling them off for $9 a piece.

Hasbro's distributions sucks. I'm also a Marvel Legends collector and stuff that was peg warming in some areas never got out my way, so I do know your pain.

But I have had pretty good luck with both Target and WM exclusives, but I have to go a couple times a week. I HOPE he's not like the Best Buy exclusives. Luckily I didn't want either of those.
