Louisiana Transformers sightings
Re: Louisiana Transformers sightings

Just out of curiosity, has anyone seen Cyberfire Bumblebee? I went to TRU today and didn't see anything noteworthy (they didn't even have MP Roddy). I also went to Walmart on Vets yesterday, and aside from them moving the TF section, there's absolutely nothing new.

Cyberfire BB is 3 per case when he's released, so I'm sure we'll be flooded with them when he's released. The problem will be trying to get Specialist Ratchet, which is only 1 per case. Here's the rest of the case breakdown, per BBTS (and says August release):
1x Jolt
1x Laserbeak
1x Mudflap
1x Thundercracker
So, reissues from previous waves.
I haven't seen Guzzle either. But Hatchet can be found if you look well. Target on Manhattan had one last night. And there's that lone HA Roadbuster at TRU in Marrero.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I may wait a week or two before I resort to ordering it from HTS though. I kind of like hunting.

I've been hunting for Cyberverse Guzzle too, along with the Sockwave and Ratchet sets, and Legion Flak and Roadbuster. They haven't shown up in my area yet (denham springs, baton rouge, Hammond).

I would've ordered this from HTS if Ratchet weren't sold out already. I have a feeling we'll be seeing these in stores within the next 2 - 3 weeks, though.

I hit the TRU and Wal Mart on vets today and nothing new..

Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Hey I was wondering if you guys could help me out with something. What is the new MP-10? is it just a new mold of masterpiece convoy but smaller? I already have Classic Optimus and Masterpiece 20th OP. Now I'm trying to get a MP optimus that is in better scale. I was looking at the Igear faith leader where I stumbled up on MP-10 on the search but its at 249 vs 109 for igear

MP-10 is a smaller version of the original MP Prime with some slight mold changes. He comes with a trailer, Spike, and I think a few other accessories. Based on pics, he seems to be in better scale with the other MP figures (except Megatron, of course). I'm not really digging it because his arms seem too long to me. I'd recommend the Igear Faith Leaders, but I've heard stories of them breaking rather easily and being of poor quality.
If I were you, I'd stick with the MP Prime you have. I have MP Black Convoy, Megatron, Starscream, Skywarp, Rodimus, and Grimlock. The MP Prime mold displays just fine and is in perfect scale with MP Megatron. And in the end, isn't that what matters? I wouldn't waste my time on the igear or MP-10 versions of Prime.

Hy WolfDawg,
Do you have the US or Japanese release of MP Rodimus? I'm tempted to pick up the US release and have the Japanese one. I'm just so scared of even touching that things ankles...

MP-10 is a new OP mold that fits the 9" scale (so, everyone but the other MP Primes and Megatron). The good news is that he comes with his trailer.
I have the iGear Ultra Magnus figure. It's nice, but the plastic seems a little fragile, and I've heard others' stories about breakage. Now, it DID go through a revision (I have the revision), so nothing broken yet.
If you want Faith Leader and trailer, it'll be about $230, MP-10 is about $250. If you're up to spending that kind of money, I'd say to just wait for MP-10 to release.

Re: Louisiana Transformers sightings
I don't know if it is just me but I have never been a fan of paying for trailers at all. I like having most my figures display in bot form so I'll probably go the cheaper route with igears optimus since it's better scale than the MP-10 and cheaper. I believe igears is in perfect scale when it's next to the MP grimlock like in the g1 series and I like that alot.
At least I have something to look forward to cause if they are doing rescale of the MP optimus they will probably do a rescale of megatron as well. I will definitely get that if they do.

I'm gonna try posting a few other pics today, but will get my UM and Grimlock together for a couple shots so you can see as well.

One can hope, although the rumor awhile back is that iGear was doing the scaled down Megatron as well. This was mentioned before MP-10 was ever announced. I'd rather see Takara/Hasbro show some MP love to other figures, like Galvatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, or even a non-G1 character.

Re: Louisiana Transformers sightings
Soundwave would be a great MP. My dream is to have all the MP dinobots done but I doubt hasbro would ever do that.
Anyone have any suggestion on what kind of chain or necklace I could use to put MP rodimus matrix on? I hate having his spare matrix sitting around so I'm thinking it would look pretty cool to have mp starscream wear it around his neck like Galvatron with the coronation add on set

I had the Japanese version of MP Roddy, but sold him off when I heard the Hasbro one was going to be released. The reason I sold the Japanese one was because I noticed stress marks on the shin plates despite having only transformed him twice!
I now have the US version and have transformed it like 10 or 11 times with no problems. No stress marks, nothing. They redid the swivel mechanism for his shin transformation and that made a ton of difference. He still has problems keeping the backpack in place, but it seems to have gotten easier to lock the backpack in with each transformation.
As for my advice? I find myself wishing I had kept the Takara version because it made for an awesome Rodimus Prime, whereas the Hasbro version's lighter paint job looks great as Hot Rod. I'm going to get the E-Hobby black version and keep him as an Evil Rodimus Prime, but it would have still been nice to have the original Rodimus Prime along with Hot Rod. Kind of showcasing the evolution of the character, ya know. So if I were you, that's what I would do. Pick up the Hasbro version to display as Hotrod and keep the Takara version as Rodimus.

Re: Louisiana Transformers sightings
I remember seeing a thread on TFW by Sculp bot I think that was the user. He was making a MP Snarl and I remember he said he was making 11 of them. I think they were all commission pieces but if they aren't and I see one on ebay. I must bid just for fun. I doubt I would get it since price would probably spike up so high just like any other custom that has ever been on ebay.

Here's some comparison pics of iGear's MP Ultra Magnus:
The first two are comparisons to MP Grimlock. Thankfully, Grimmy is a little larger.
Next up, UM and Takara's Rodimus Prime. Both are showing off some bling. Prime almost towers Magnus, but remember that Magnus isn't armored up.
Here's UM, Hot Rod, and Skywarp. Surprised that Hot Rod is taller than both of these, oh well. But UM and Skywarp are the same size.
Finally, UM between Classics OP and Battle Damaged MP OP.
Hope this gives you a good idea of scale.

Awesome pics Necro. Now I'm actually considering getting that igear Magnus. I always imagine him being smaller than prime because of his armor, so it wouldn't bother me that he'd be a smaller mold. I'm just worried about the plastic quality of the figure. I don't transform my figures often, and I never play with them, but I don't want the thing to fall apart if I just look at it the wrong way. Also, because it's white, I'd be paranoid about it yellowing, despite the fact that I have sunlight resistant curtains in my TF room.

The only issues I have with UM are:
"Wrists" - The edges of his arms are separate pieces and usually fall off when I push his fists out for robot mode. Not sure why it isn't just one piece.
Chest - it doesn't close all the way in robot mode. You can see where the windows are supposed to catch hinges underneath, but they just don't match up. You can see it somewhat in the pictures I posted.
You may know he comes with a second "anime" style head, as well as another head for Faith Leader if you ordered one of the first waves; a down-sized "Megatron" pistol, blue Energon axe, and Ion cannon.
He is EXTREMELY light in my opinion, but I feel that the plastic holds up. I don't have any stress marks on him, and he's been transformed a few times.
Hope that helps in decision making.
