Two Super Walmarts and two regular Walmarts in Naples, FL and not one carried the Rumble, Ravage, or Devastator exclusives. Am I worried about Starscream? No.
First of all, it usually takes at least a few weeks from the first in-store sighting to when the general public starts seeing these on shelves. I plan to use the toy sightings section here to help me gauge when that time has come.
If my local stores do carry them, I'm not as worried about the scaplers or others buying these up in large amounts. $50 each adds up quickly when buying in bulk.
If all else fails, I know a member on another TF site will hook me up (now that Carbombya is gone
). eBay or other online retailers are also an option.
The figure will be mine, although I don't expect it until later this year. I will not get my hopes up trying to find it in a store and will not run out looking for one at this time. It'd be nice to find it in a store and pay $50, but I will have it even if I have to pay twice as much if availability here is scarce.

Which ones? So I can avoid having to look at them.

I'm curious about this SKU thing. If I call a store will they run the SKU for me and tell me if the item is in stock?

that is correct because they can look in their inventory using the computer. I did not find it in my region like I expected.

Hey guys, don't get too excited yet. As I mentioned earlier, it usually takes a few weeks from the first initial in-store sighting to a full scale release. You might get lucky and find one, but the big chance is you will NOT find one yet.
It is pretty pointless to go running out to WalMart tonight unless you have other shopping to do.
Keep checking the sightings section here. It can be a very useful tool to gauge the release of a new figure like this awesome looking Starscream.

I could not agree more...if you go out and go on a wild hunt for the figure, you may be wasting gas. But if you have tons of errands to do..go ahead to try to find him.

Well looks like I lucked out I read over on tfw like 2 hours ago about this being relased so I didnt have anything better to do. so what the heck a late night walmart sounds fun. first two outta luck one didnt have them the other sold out. third time was the charm though.
Houston TX Walmart on 1960 and cutten rd near willowbrook had two I got the better one but there is still one left box is a little rough but its perfect for a non-misber.

Now this is getting more interesting - going from one to at least three confirmed sightings.
Might swing by a Walmart tomorrow anyway, so I'll be on the lookout.

Just buy one from a comic book shop in Canada. Comic book shops can order store exclusives and don't have to obey street dates. I know the Silver Snail has the Takara Anime Starscreams coming and they look to be a much better color. (but the are basically the same product) Besides, you'll get a better price buying it off of them before you'll get a good price with shipping.
How? I can ask but the comic book store I go has said before they are going away from toys.

You could always ask them to do a special order unless they aren't very well liked by Hasbro or Diamond. Maybe even go to another store, just for the toys.

I checked at the new Steelyard Commons store (thought that since it just opened, they might have it), City View Center (off Transportation Blvd and 480), and Parmatown.
I plan on checking the Brookpark Road, North Olmsted, and Strongsville stores too. I'll post my findings once I get a chance to scope out the scene.

Can we get a partnership of several people going here to buy an extra Starscream and sell him at cost to other members if it turns out there's plenty where we are, but not where some others live? I hereby pledge to do so, and I invite others to join me. I won't buy up a store's stock doing it, since that would defeat my anti-scalper purposes here.
This item will have a high collector demand, but it won't have millions of parents screaming for it, so hopefully we won't have as many scalper jerks buying out stock as we did with the movie toys. My thought here is that if we have established channels among ourselves, we undercut their market of people who live in areas that never get these toys, thus making it so more of us get them at fair cost and scalping becomes less profitable.

your intentions are good, but I can't afford multiples of these at $50 a pop.

i checked 4 walmarts today but no luck (did pick up the battler blackout for my son). i'm betting if i see him it will be next week or so. it's generally a 1-2 week gap in when stuff pops up on the west coast and then makes an appearance in the south. at $50 i would imagine that you will actually be able to find him. not saying he is going to be a shelf warmer or anything but the price might (hopefully) keep him from flying off the shelves too quickly (or that's what i keep telling myself).
