Movie Decepticons

Postby MaP_Prime » Thu Aug 30, 2007 4:15 pm

I've been really enjoying the movie toys owning most of the first one deluxes and a few voyagers from the first run of the. However, I've been wondering if some of the other Decepticon deluxe toys that were not in the movie were worth getting? The ones I really want to know about are Wreckage, Dropkick and Payload. I've heard good things about the first two and I really like the look of the third, but I want to hear from people who have actually handled these toys and seen what they can do up close.

Weapon: Electron Scimitar Sword
Wreckage has a nice gimmick, and Dropkick looks awesome! Especially his head. *nod nod* Get them as soon as possible. ^-^

Wreckage is a pretty great figure. Orther than him though, I don't know, the rest of the Decepts are kind of a disappointment(atleast in Wave 1)

Wreckage is very cool, and payload is okay. Payload is really fragile though... :-(

Payload has a plunger as long as he is tall rammed into the small of his back. And his head and front bumper fall off all the time, not only on mine but on others I've seen people complain about. He simply was not worth it to me.

Wreckage, on the other hand, is one of the best Deluxes in the movie line, hands down. Only Concept BB can even come close. His articulation, weapon gimmicks, cool military alt mode, and ability to use both standard .5mm peg weapons AND minicons make him Teh Win.

Dun have Dropkick yet, he still hasn't shown up in my area.

Wreckage is awesome. I'm not really a big fan of Payload. Dropkick looks to be very cool but I haven't gotten him yet.

From the... what, two people I know that have him? Dropkick sounds as good as his bot mode looks. If you happen to find him, you might as well make purchasing him a priority. He's part of the newest wave of Decepticons (with Recon Barricade) and a lot of others will probably go for him.

Don't have Payload myself. I don't like some of the things I've seen about him, and I'm not impressed with that alt mode either. Relatively new, so you might not see him often for a while.

Wreckage is as every bit as cool as people have mentioned. I'm only disappointed that he HAS waist articulation, only for it to get hampered by his back. Otherwise awesome.

You didn't mention it, but there's also Swindle for the drones. Eh... it's best that he stays forgotten, really. He's a very quirky and unusual bot, and there's some cool stuff you can do with him - Swindle's hands make it possible for him to pat his head and rub his tummy! - but if you're going to buy one at all, don't do it at retail. People disappointed in him tend to unload him cheaply online.

Wreckage is pure awesomeness.

Payload is pure highway robbery.

Dropkick is one cool low-rider.

Longarm is pretty neat, but I'm not to sure about that gun that is screwed onto his arm.

The only one of these I have is Wreckage.

1 ) Longarm is an Autobot. :P

2 ) One quick twist with a screwdriver, and Longarm is ambidextrous. :D He has a fully formed hand holding onto that gun of his.

Im another vote for Wreckage. Great figure, good transformation, the best head of all movie figures and a double edged dagger... what's not to love?

Can't comment on the other two, they have yet to reach our shores.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Well I went out and got Wreckage tonight and I gotta say all that I've heard about him is true, he is totally amazing. I also got Swindle with him, he was the last one in the store and right behind Wreckage so I figured why not. I also have to say that I don't understand all the hate directed at the little bugger, sure he's not the greatest of the movie Decepticons but I like him. I really like his alt mode.

Wreakage is just 2 cool 2 pass so nab him when u see him

Dropkick was the 1st decepticon after wave one i brought and he just as meaner and powerful lookin then Wreakage or Barricade

the only thing and i mean only thing that keep him from being number 1 Con bot in the deluxe range is that he really dont have a real weapon on him.......and yes i dont really count that stupid claw thing a weapon. Hasbro should had his bed cover 2 transformer in2 a huge gun like they did Longarm(whihc if u see him, nab him as well)

Not the greatest... being an understatement? :)

I'd say he is most likely the worst Decepticon Deluxe, but it doesn't mean he has no merits at all (he's still better than most Armada junk). I also happened to forget about Dreadwing. At least Swindle has standard humanoid proportions. Dreadwing was close to being great, but that tiny waist and enormous lens-head... sigh.
