Just got back from seeing the flim and loved every minute of it. However one part of it had special place for me regardless of all the bots.
For the first time in history they got the AWACS right in a movie. Not jsut right, but perfect. I've flown on that jet, the guys inside it in the flim were not actors, each and everyone of them is bonafide USAF. Most of them are actually from my squadron. After watching our jet crash into a mother ship in ID4 and watching the various ways its been mistreated and poorly used in movies it was so cool to see it authentically used in a flick. A flick which just happened to have giant robots in it to boot:)

One of my favorite parts, too.

Oh definately. This is where Bay's support for the arm forces pays off. I think this was the first modern movie to protray the military in a realistic manor which only helps make it feel more real. When they called in the Worthogs and that giant gunship I literally thought to myself, "Holly sh*t, I think they're REALLY under attack by a giant robotic scorpion down there..." Good stuff, really good stuff.
Not to mention when Cpt. Lennox pointed out that F-22 pilots are not allowed to fly below the city skyline. Any other movie would have them flying in formation 100 ft off the ground down Santa monica, not that it would be rediculously hard for a pilot to do nor leave thousands of LA'ers DEAF from the sound of the jet engines I bet, lol...

I suppose....it just doesn't "feel" right....not very natural...just noting as people are saying Bay is in good with the military....the line been said, I guess in a more "authentic" manner would've been expected..

I agree with this. Every time I heard that line I was thinking the same thing.nectarsis wrote:Rolling Thunder wrote:nectarsis wrote:Yea...but then we get the great line...something like "power down or we will kill you".......sounds way to cheesy...maybe "power down or we will open fire" That line has bugged me since the trailers
