He looks good in alt mode. the Robot mode, is not too bad, but i'm not sure i'll pick him up.
I'll have my final verdict when i see the toy in person.

He does look a little like StarLeno.
But overall I like him, and the majority of the TF animated designs.
My only gripe is with the color. What is the point of painting Screamer like Thundercracker? That I simply don't get.

Thankfully I don't have to see it since I display him with the alternate face. No such luck with Animated Starscream, unless you want to put a paper bag over his head.
He'll be like a ninja with a banana chin.
Make sure the paper bag is long enough.

Doesn't look half bad. May change my mind about not buying the TF Ani line.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

I dunno... the jet mode looks so cool but the bot mode, I'm not so sure. The original proto pics had me wanting him, but now I just don't know...

This guy is particularly on my want list:
Even his prototype pic looks kickass!!!
I'll give you his one, this Prime don't look to shabby, nice and solid like a good prime should be!
But to much of what I've seen from this upcoming line is just crap to me.
As for being able to say "It's show acurate", well...
maybe thats not always such a good thing

This StarScream is goofy, awkward, and looks very unsturdy.

This is how cartoon toys shoudl look. Unique, cartoon realstic. These things might take center stage from my g1 omega supreme and takara beast convoies!

You know what I have learned from the movie and the animated show.
Hasbro should consider keeping the head sculpts pretty much constant. Seems like both times around this year, a majority of people who felt less than satisfied with the new look, felt that way due to the head sculpt. It was really my main beef with the movie all along, and was the same for most people. The faces.

Very poor plain design. Doesn't look like Starscream to me. Movie Starscream is much better than this.

Argue 'til you're blue, but Movie SS IS a good toy. G1 is over. SS can be ANYTHING.
Yeah he can be an ugly pile of plane part that resembles a demented gorilla if he wants! Just dont expect people to like it or buy it.
This new design IMO is head and shouders above gorilla-scream, it's a departure from previous SS designs whilst being respectful of historic aethetics and personally or the original character. I dont care it its a good toy or not it looks like crap IMO.

You see, you're still living in the past. I too love Animated, and that's why I paid through the nose to get a test shot. But I and thousands other fans have been able to appreciate the new Movie Starscream as well.

Well. some people do like the movie starscream. To you it may look demented, to others it may look imposing and badass.
For the animated Starscream, there is really nothing special except for the long chin. It even has thin weak legs! Hasbro probably spend the least amount of time and effort to design it.

I don't not appreciate Movie Starscream because I live in the past or because he's not 'geewun' enough. I don't appreciate him becuase he is ugly and was give no character in the movie. This TFA design I appreciate because it is aetheticaslly pleasing, not because it's more respectful to G1, otherwise I'd be moaning on about his colours, facial expresion and so on like the rest of the 'geewuners' here.

Again I'm sure Movie Starscream is a well designed toy, it might even be better designed than this one, but I find him ugly and a representation of a poorly represented chatacter in a IMO bad movie. Therefore he could be the most amazingly well engineered toy in TF history and I still wouldn't touch him with a bardge poll. That's not being stuck in past that's knowing what I do and dont like.

Characterization on screen shouldn't be part of the equation when we're talking about the toys themselves.
Why? I was talking about why I dont appreciate the Movie starscream toy, for me liking the character is a major factor. In fact this is the strength on which I buy all my Transformers. No character no sale.
