Number of Character slots in v2?
1) I'll confess, I've had trouble with names.
2) The slow development thing isn't necessarily bad. I initially tried to keep all but my top character as close together as possible, by always playing off the bottom of the roster, and I did manage to keep 11/12 of my team at roughly the same level. Turns out though, that that can be a big handicap during tourneys, so I changed my methods. I now have characters ranging from lvl 4 to lvl 8, but that last Scavenger Hunt makes me wish I had some bots even lower than lvl 4.

I have too many good names. Of course, no one else wants them cause they're not remotely Hasbro-y.

I know. For example...
Random Hasbro names - Hardhead, Waspinator, Blacker, Randy, Hot Rod.
Random names from my minicons (i.e. those not good enough for my characters) - Retrogression, Anagenesis, Decoherence, Hypercube, Imaginary Unit.

why do we need a map >>> becuase people want it
Masters >>> becuase people want it
Triple changers >>> becuase people want it

alt roation >>> becuase people want it
I don't see it as that simple. I see all those things as a necessity to a)- Help improve game play and b)- Make it closer to true Transformer canon.
Expanding team slots is just some cosmetic thing and won't be the selling point of V2 like all those features.

How often does Optimus Primes main team in the cartoons and comics stay at his Starting team? Seems to me they're always adding new Members to the roster.
Let's do this!

I'd actually like to see it reduced to six and then just cut the CR time in half as well.

IF the number of slots were to be increased, i'd like to see a new addition added to the high score tables.
"Team Average".
There are some people who don't want to run with many bots but i'm sure would like a chance at being one of the top teams in HMW.
Skits is a good example, she only has 6 core bots (only recently has she expanded that) and is the the highest ranked female Autobot commander, yet because she doesn't post much and only uses 6 bots she's a bit of a quiet achiever and compared to others around her level who have a full complement of 12 bots, she wouldn't rank too highly on a Team High Score page.
Averaged out however would be a different story.

i completely agree, though if we expand the team roster with out expanding the active roster, then it's not so much of an issue

What exactly are you defining as "team roster" and "active roster"?

team roster: maximium number of chracter slots per team - currently 12
active roster: maximum number of bots active at any one time - currently 6
so if we leave the active at 6, but expand team past 12, and each team member is given equal amount of time active the amount of time, and thus missions each team member will participate in will decrease, decreasing the amount of xp they earn.
over time this will mean the smaller team will probably get ti the next level before hand, at which point the large team needs to score much more to keep up due to the exponential xp earnings just keep up with the small team, or play for much longer hours, but eventually the small team will advance enough level ahead that it's near impossible to catch up.
its the reverse of that arrow tortoise paradox, and deadboy's argument against larger teams.

I'd vote 18 slots, but only if we can activate 9 bots at the same time. Otherwise keep it at 12 bots.

even if it was expanded to 18 with only 6 active, what's forcing you to make more than 12?
Nothing, but i'd consider it a waste to be unable to fully utilize my team by letting them rotate in 3 shifts.
Although on second thought, 18 slots with 6 active could allow you to balance out your team when you activate them from the bottom up.

6 of 12 allows you to do that; i had each of my guys within 10k of each other before the whoops.

There already was too big a gap between my guys before I considered balancing them out. But I'll go for balance when V2 starts.

Personally I like the idea of playing at multiple levels so I can assist friendsif they're level 3 or level 6. I'm more interested in the characters I create, not the levels they're at.
PS. If/when we get gestalts/micromasters/pretenders/duocons/multi-changers, I may argue for 72 characters too

Basically, there's no harm in having the possibilty of extra characters. If you're that used to 12, just keep it at 12 on your team.
Plus, if I recall right, it was actually increased to the 12/6 setup from an initial 8/4 setup years ago.

Well, close enough. Point is, it has already been changed, so it's not like we're doing it for the first time if we do.

You know, i'm sure at the time the increase to 6 active was an idea put forward by "them" because "they" were the highest players at the time and "they" needed more chances to ... you know ... "find loopholes in the game and be rewarded for them".
