No definitely not the tentacled con. Im pretty certain the tentacled con is depicted in the transformers movie comics. It shows a worm like tentacled creature on cybertron attacking hatchlings. Shockwave was awed by the creatured and thought it was magnificent. So I think shockwave or megatron learned to control this worm.
