Call me crazy, but I kind of like faction symbols that fit the color scheme of the figure they're on. Sometimes silver or black looks better, sometimes the traditional colors would be a better choice... But would it be too much to ask that more of the faction symbols are colored to match the rest of the figure? The only example I can think of off the top of my head is Rescue Bots Blades and his orange Autobot symbol, but, well, it's integrated into his color scheme. Would it hurt so much to think of these things as part of the overall paint job and aesthetics, rather than a badge to be slapped on top of a color scheme that already exists?

I do generally prefer classic colored insignias over silver of black, and do use reprolabels where possible, but one thing that gets me is when it's obviously visible in alt mode. Where possible I try to place badges in a place where they can only be seen in bot mode... except for most Decepticons. With all the seekers having logos printed on their wings, a leader who turns into a gun, and the general disposition for most cons to be military vehicles, I'd think hiding their faction would be an afterthought.

Rubsigns did seem like a more feasible means of hiding the faction for awhile, but it occurred to me that even having that much visible doesn't hide the fact that their a Transformer.

Ultimately I view it on a case by case basis, if I can hide an Autobot logo in alt mode I prefer it to be in classic colors, if not then I prefer a more subtle silver or black depending on what blends in with the color scheme more.

Though quite odd that in the DOTM Ark, the main ship had the silver Autobot badge while Roller had a tenee tiny red badge stamp graphed on him.
