I just got my movie blackout and his waist will not snap into place in robot mode. It looks like there are 2 little notches on the bottom part of the waist that are supposed to catch on to the top part (the front of the helicopter). But it doesn't stay in place very well.

Is this a QC problem or is it just a problem with my Blackout?

I had the same problem with mine! To a lot of fiddling but got it sorted in the end. Pain Tho.

I nearly broke 2 of those taps there connect hes shoulders to hes body ... cheap plastic ...

I returned him and got another one. This one isn't as bad but still has the same problem. I guess it's a design flaw. Damn hasbro.

The hinge is just stiff. Put some muscle into is and it will turn, trust me.

Its no cheaper plastic then Cybertron or any other line from the last few years. They jsut happen to be very tight tabs. If you wiggle it a little they pop loose fairly easily, they jsut aren't meant to be forced. A design flaw perhaps since they are kids toys, but its not a plastic quality issue.

I'm not so sure, in terms of the shoulder tabs, it's a question of plastic strength as much as the fact that the rotor section creates a lot of pressure on it. The tabs were stressed from when I opened the figure, and the shoulder wouldn't have stayed in place. A second hook on might've helped. Hate to say it, as much as I was looking forward to him, but when I returned him to the store, I wasn't broken up they were sold out. Nice figure, but I'm gonna wait to see if there are any "fan fixes" to make him a little more stable before I snag him again.

The automorph part on my figure continues to pop upward when i transform him into helicopter mode ... but i have heard something about how to fix it

It seems everyone is having different problems with Blackout. I don't think there would be as many problems if he was bigger...which he needs to be!

I love Blackout, he's a really good figure for 20 bucks. If you pop the shoulder in really good they will stay tight

I really think the shoulder tab issue is coming up due to problems on the assembly line. I agree wholeheartedly, we need a Leader class. After all, they keep saying he's the biggest of the 'Cons, but he's smaller than Ratchet.

Guess the Cons are jsut little guys:)

Personally I love him. Wouldn't mind a larger version, but I'm quite happy with the scale for the majority of the line. Bonecrusher needs a Voyager though, and I'm looking forward to Leader Brawl.

As late as this is, I've had the same problem. At time of writing, he's fine on one side, but he won't snap into place on the the right side of his waist (or left if one is looking at him face-to-face), thus he looks like he's leaning over to his left.
