The Anime thread Mk III
Figured since the old one died I'd make a new one.
Recently I've been getting into some of Osamu tezuka's work, such as Phoenix and Ode to kirihito.
If you look past the art style you'll get some great and deep storys in his work.

I just picked up the first season of Ranma 1/2 at Best Buy for $40. Looks like they're re-releasing it with smaller packaging (ie thinner cases as with other TV box sets) and at a nice price point. I've seen bits and pieces and have read most of the manga. I love this series, the more I see of it.

Recently, I've started getting into Aura Battler Dunbine, thanks to its domestic availability. Also, I can't wait for the releases of GaoGaiGar and Gunbuster sometime in tthe next few months.

If you need to know, here's an example of the dub on GGG.

Well the charachter designs for Gungrave were also done by Nightow who created Trigun/ Trigun Maximum. Picked it up a while back myself, haven't gotten around to watching it yet though

Picked it up a while back myself, haven't gotten around to watching it yet though(I got all of Gungrave on Rightstufs 25 Genon dvds for €100 offer back in September[They didn't arrive until November due to the amount of people who ordered on that offer and the fact that their international shipping sucks in both cost($87 for the dvds) and delivery time (ONE FRICKING MONTH, I've ordered bigger heavier parcels from BBTS and had them delivered standard air for a fraction of the price in a week)] and exams which have just ended, so I'll probably watch it over the next week or so.
$87? i thought it was just a 25 ep series, or is it split up 4 eps each like GITS and bebop...
ordered some transformers from ebay once and took 2 months to get delivered, at which time i was on vacation so i had to wait til after that and then some to pick it up.

Gungrave is on 7 dvds(26 eps), I bought it with Daphne In the Brilliant Blue(7 dvds), Trigun(7 of the 8 dvds), Patlabor XIII, Gankutsuou Vol1, Requiem From the Darkness Vol1 and Paranoia Agent Vol3(as it is censored over here). The $87 was the combined shipping cost($15 for first dvd and $3 for each item thereafter)But I can't really complain as Daphne in the Brilliant Blue and Gankutsuou aren't available over here and the rest of the dvds would have cost me €510/$640 for my domestic Euro R2 releases so $187/€150 for the lot is still a bargin in comparison for 25 dvds.

Just watched episode 24 of the original Gundam series. Amuro went all WICHOW! on a nuke.
But somnething M'Quve said really got me. He mention how the Federation wasn't listening to "Our demands." That made me think "You don't give demands when you're losing idiot! Perhaps you shouldn't've sent out the Black TriStars, huh?"
Next episode Char comes back, which is cool, cause I missed that guy. He was wacky.

It pretty much explains his entire agenda for wanting Sasuke.
I've recently started watching both Gun X Sword and Wolf's Rain. Both are really good series so far.
And Wolf's Rain voice cast kick ass.

So I just watched a chick fly out of a moving aircraft.
Above the Atlantic Ocean.
At around 10,000 feet.
And then I saw her sorta-boyfriend cry like a little girl.
Gundam 0079 is weird. But it's good, because so far (Being a little over halfway into the series) I have seen boobies, explosions, and giant robots shooting lasers at each other.
That sounds so very, very wrong.
