Seriously you act like he has made Transformers into trash when all he has done is have a few bad stories and lack of fake expensive cgi robots is it any worse then the recent cartoons and some of the comics?
I would rather watch the bad moments of the movies then watch Transformers Prime ever again at least the movies are entertaining in its badness.
Never change silly fandom.
I take movies over animated series and comics any day in movies transformers are realistic looking and transform realistic unlike cartoon giant alien robot transforms into tape deck sound wave I'm naming and transformers going back in time dark ages frenzy riding one of seekers in jousting match , gridlock dressed as waiter serving spike, Carly , ultra Magnus and others with stupid looking mustache on his face in Dino mode, same can be said about comics there faces looking more human than robot most of time I feel reading Star Trek and Star Wars comics with characters transform in things
huh. well it's all about subjectivity and taste I guess. Transformers:Prime is my perfect incarnation of Transformers lore. conversely, Beast Wars does nothing for me, and I haven't managed to get into RID, but I know it's not my place to judge those that like them. Paths are different.
Did you watch TFP through? I'm on my like 10th run through the series and it's an absolute pleasure. imhmfo nothing else comes close to the development of the characters and stories we know and love, and it's so well written, in both its darkness and humour, regardless of it effectively being a show for kids. I even like the role of humans in it, there's a lot of love. I can't think of a better representation of Shockwave, Soundwave, Magnus, Arcee etc. To me it even trumps the comics, even the G1 Uk ones, which is saying something.
I'll always watch and find some love in the movies. I still rate the first one. But even with the poorer later ones, there're always some elements that are awesome to a TF fan, even if it's just the development of CGI tech (transformium transformations notwithstanding).. I've had to just accept that they're not going to be well written or directed as a coherent films, but ever the optimist (prime), I still live in hope.
cartoons, comics or films, suspension of disbelief is key. you're not going to enjoy anything without it.
Life is long. I envisage a full reboot in like 2025 or sumfing. which will be awesome. again. then everyone can be happy. x

Remember in the old 80s Knight Rider when they gave KITT that super pursuit mode and things got a bit silly? BB seems to be going the same way.

I have not watched the original Knight Rider, so I can't really say I remember. But I did watch the new series that was out in 2008 I believe, and his attack mode was pretty sweet. and of all the car modes, this new Bee is looking really cool. I think they've been getting better as they go along honestly

Transformers Prime and development do not belong in the same sentence together especially not in that bore fest relic hunt show that turned out to be meaningless in the end.
Only Ratchet, Smokescreen and Knock Out had any sort of development everyone else started and ended the series the exact same, killed off when they showed signs of change or were void of personality especially Ultra Magnus who wasn't even a character I can think of many versions of him and others that are better like Idw for example.

To sum up; he was a toy in the 1980s that was honestly kind of crap but got a decent marvel comics run. He's getting an idw comic series soon.

I wonder, is the Megatron/Galvatron picture for TF5 actually Megatron/Galvatron?
And with the whole thing about ROM and this expanded universe? As a writer I would not continually return to Megatron as the big bad guy, especially with Optimus off Earth and the rest of the Autobots on Earth. It would make more since if Optimus encountered something in his journey and it has came back to Earth, or something along those lines.
So who is this character that they show the picture of?

If they're worrying that megsy being the villain all the time would be boring there's a ton of alternate routes they could go, especially when they've shown they were willing to go as obscure as Sentinel and The Fallen. Scorponok, Overlord; they could even go with Ratbat if they're feeling crazy.
And then there was that one other guy... He's on the tip of my tongue. Big monster guy with the horns, beginning with U? Something to do with horses...

oh, it's flawed, but I'd say there's a lot to like. development was the wrong word maybe. I guess I meant as in the development from their original G1 forms. Granted they are pretty one dimensional, but I just think they nailed the spirits of the characters.
Anyway I realise the slight hypocrisy of my post. "hey just let everyone like what they like" / "why don't you like what I like??"

So this whole thing with ROM The Space Knight got me thinking last night. I don't know much of anything about ROM, so I did a bunch of reading and researching and was looking for some ROM toys that I could buy so that I'd have one on hand depending on where things went with all of this craziness between the live action movies and the IDW comics.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rom_(comics)
After checking out Wikipedia, I discovered there was only one ROM toy originally (plus an SDCC Mighty Muggs figure), that was apparently a failure, but his comic appearances were successful oddly.
Apparently ROM has had as much legal fun over the years when it comes to reprints as our friend Death's Head. Which got me thinking ... why in the world didn't Hasbro trade ROM for Marvel's Death's Head??? Death's Head is a Transformers character, I don't care how you dish or slice it. As far as it looks to me, ROM is a Marvel character despite the opposite companies owning them. Hasbro and Marvel should've swapped them and made some agreement that any past publications that those characters appeared in are fine to reprint going forward. Heck, toss in Circuit Breaker as well and call it a day since ROM is probably a bigger issue than Death's Head and Circuit Breaker.
But that probably made way too much sense. Or maybe no one has ever considered that before. Seems like a big missed opportunity to me.

An idea about the plot, maybe the dire wraiths aren't the creators but the creators enemies, hence why lockdown went after prime and the rest. Through the plot, cade is transformed/upgraded to the last space knight, Rom.
We can also say that the dire wraiths worshipped an evil god of chaos that has awoke just in time for tf 6.
Also my first encounter with Rom was with a robot chicken sketch...

Sorry to double post but I didn't see this till I posted that last post.
Seems to me that marvel wanted to have their cake and eat it, wanting the mythos of Rom and death's head (all of them, after all he has been reintroduced into the pages of iron man). Until recently there probably wasn't enough interest to do any deal.
Wouldn't there be another obstacle in the path of reprinting deaths head stuff being the strips involving Doctor Who (who is know owned by titan comics)

Not sure ... some of these dealings come and go between these companies. Doctor Who is owned by BBC I believe, not Titan Comics who just licenses the character(s). The Doctor Who / Death's Head crossover was reprinted in a Marvel US trade paperback at some point (which I own) so I don't know how all of that comes into play. I'm OK with that because I just want Death's Head to be a part of the ongoing Transformers Universe, much like how ROM The Space Knight was at one point part of the mainstream Marvel Universe including various crossovers with other Marvel characters and with ROM appearing in the books of those other characters as well.

Plus, Hasbro's still a toy company first and foremost, hence why they wanted ROM. Death's Head, as far as I know, was a Marvel Character with no toy history. Same for Circuit Breaker.

But with ROM being a failed one-off toy, what's the point? Is anyone here a fan of ROM the Space Knight? Seems like his home should be with the Marvel Universe.
