It’s only a matter of time before someone fixes the dreaded bicep curl. It might come in the form of an upgrade kit along with a better head (shorter prongs) and a translucent orange cannon barrel. But the question is if you’re not willing to shell out $115 now for Galvatron, are you willing to pay $150 in aftermarket prices plus the upgrade kit when it comes out ? Not a winning proposition for those of you who are so concerned about $20-30 bucks. I’m not trying to antagonize anyone here, I’m just keeping it real.
...and yet.
What I call "keeping it real" people often consider trolling on here. I just find it funny how some people are on here about the subject of money. One day they complain about a figure being $30 overpriced. The next day they’re ready to drop $150 or more on a figure they gotta have. I find it very peculiar how people flip flop back and forth on how much they’re willing to spend to enjoy this hobby.
X I'm honestly never sure if you're trolling intentionally or not, because it's often inconceivable that a person could be so completely self-absorbed and ignorant of the world at large or the fact that other people in the world might have views that differ even slightly from yours. You immediately dismiss the idea that people would think differently, or have different life experiences from yours, and openly and blatantly look down upon people who are different in some way.
Whether intentionally or not you denigrate concepts and actions that you claim to be unfamiliar with in ways that make you appear almost completely isolated from the average reality that most of the other posters on this forum seem to live in. Your recent revelations that you have worked lower-paying jobs amazed me as your general tone suggests immaturity and the likelihood of being far too young to even work a proper job. I'm amazed you're not a young teen from an absurdly rich family. The "affluenza" comment in the other thread wasn't entirely unwarranted.
It's not just the seeming unfamiliarity with the concept of monetary worth, but ability to understand conversational English that have given me this impression. If English isn't your first language and you're using a web-translate program or something, then I apologize, but it's definitely not helping get you across as a grown-up. Assuming English
is your first language, then things like misunderstanding of people's problems with "bicep curl arms" or the metric system do sometimes come across almost as a parody of an ignorant angry child, so you can understand if people sometimes have difficulty warming to you.
You do sometimes make interesting points, but even then, it usually comes at a cost of offence because of the way you make these points. Most people on here are very respectful, because at the end of the day, we all share a similar passion. There are plenty of other people on here who make posts I don't agree with. Hell, there've been more than a couple who've made posts that have angered me in some way. None do it in such consistent and seemingly gleeful way.

Regarding this specific point, this Galvatron figure is quite good. Most of us at least like a lot of things about it. It's a large size and a good (if not great, IMO) version of a major character. The $30 Minibots are goddam terrible little Legends-sized bots that represent very niche characters, very badly. I could buy 5 of them for the price of this Galvatron but am very sure I wouldn't enjoy them half as much.
I've complained about this figure being a little overpriced too, and you've agreed that were it a lesser character (like Blaster) it'd be less expensive. I feel the "Galvatron hype" isn't worth paying for when it's not got all the points I'm looking for in a really nice Galvatron. Something like Hexatron, where the size, articulation, colours, engineering and transformations all worked for me was a definite pre-order because I felt it was worth it. Likewise, the upcoming Legends Swerve is a definite buy because it has the look, the colours, decent articulation and a decent alt mode. If a figure ticks all the boxes in what I'm looking for, then I want it. If it is too expensive, I'll either see about saving up for it, or I'll accept that I can't have it. If it doesn't tick all the boxes, then I have to weigh up how much it costs vs how much I want it. In this particular case, I don't want Maniaking enough to warrant the cost.
