And 'ere he be, in all his pirate glory.

I will start on the paint soon, just a couple of highlights to break up the blue.
But for now, a minor mod!

His weapon is ridiculous. It can't be locked in sword mode, looks silly, is way too heavy for his arm, and looks out of place in beast mode.

Solution? Take it apart, entirely.

Discard the light/claw piece.

Fold in one of his hands. There is a slot big enough between the fist and the wrist for the sword's cog end to fit.

Result?

Hells to the yeah!

Alas, it cannot be stored in beast mode, or not that I've figured out how yet, anyway.

I have found a way of storing it in beast mode!
(I will try finding one for robot mode, too...)

Awesome find Va'al! Hey quick question about Thundertron,is there any way to get rid of the "peg-leg?"

I'm looking at picking up this guy to make a custom but I don't want to pick up two in order to fix the peg-leg

The peg-leg is real easy to fix: don't remove the foot!

It's attached quite safely, as it's integral part of the beast mode, and you can choose to leave it on in robot mode too. Easy peasy.

Finished!

I'll add the pictures here, rather than in the first post.

All I did was give him silver feet/claws, painted the whole pegleg gold, added some gold to his left shin and gave a light silver wash to the sword.

Here's the result:
