I just saw the episode and man they were sweet the designs look great and when Grimlock transformed in the end clip....I was like wow I'm totally sold on the series and cant wait for the rest to transform and their character development...also more characters to emerge as the series progresses =)

It was a smart move to bring them back so early into the series, the age group that Animated is targeting is the same age group that is fascinated by Dinosaurs.

It's a win win.

Well, it appears I am in the distinct minority, as I have never liked the Dinobots, and "Blast from the Past" has only reiterated this with me. As soon as Grimlock uttered those damnedable words "Me Grimlock.....", I was tempted to shut it off! I did not like the ep at all, as a whole. Sumdac is a moron, in my opinion, and Megs having to cowtow to that fool just makes me dry-heave! He needs a body NOW, so something interesting will happen on the show! Autobot overdose is getting on my last good Con nerve! :grin:

It was a let down for me.

I was hoping that they'd use the comic personalities of the Dinobots.

Instead we got a couple of mentally disabled robots.

I loved it.
I agree that Surmac is an idiot. And a charlatin. Presenting his findings from Megatron as his own inventions. I really don't like him. Still, this thread is about the dinos. And them, me liiiike!
I thinkg that big bear trap lower jaw of robo-mode Grimlock works.
I wonder why Swoop and Slag aren't able to speak yet.
