i don't know i mean the whole combining with jetfire thing was cool, but again no articulation, and the whole Lego wholes all over the bot really made me dislike it a lot, plus the brick pattern on the back of Armada jetfire's wings was aweful...
I hated minicons..
but there is a gift pack I saw at target that had Cybertron bots in them, and whoa those guys were freaking awesome!!!!

They really have come along way with smaller transformers over the years..

Interesting...
Seeing is believing for sure. There may have been later production runs which correct the problem I am talking about.
I tend to get figures really early in the release cycle, so sometimes I get screwed like that.
IF, I can locate my delux Prime in my numerous 'containers of archive', then I'll show similar pictures.
still interesting though...

...but, but they're solar panels... they have to look like that.

OK update!
I stated that Armada leader Prime was crap#1, but now he's crap#2! Cos I just saw my brother's Titanum G1 Magnus up close.
Damn it's ugly.
The wrong paint, his arms are to fare back and they fall of wenn you move them. The head looks like he took drugs, his altmode is even wors than that of WW Megatron!
I'm so glade that my brother gave me Megatron insted of Magnus, since I demanded one of them cos he use my pocketmony to by them.
WW Megatron rocks and Magnus sucs!

Magnus looks good but from what I hear he does have issues...
I think that the Movie Bumblebee figure from wave 1 the 1970s version is a crappy figure all around... the chest is crappy in design, and the legs have barely any articulation, plus if that piece breaks in the engine area, the whole front of the car won't fit back into place.. what a crummy thing to give out to kids..

What pieces of s*** these are. Even a blind, horny, eppileptic mule with a fetish for rocklords would hate these.
I have never felt so ripped off, buying a TF, ever.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
That is too harsh! The protoforms are unique and interesting-i quite like em

yes witha few minor areas that could have used strengthening like the joints in the thighs so it would stop doing the splits..a poseable toe area for stances, and a twist in the legs themselves.....beyond that Optimus Prime should have been made without wheels...What does a freaking comet Need wheels anyhow...
Besides Autobot is a Nickname for Autonomous Robot, so says the movie..and not a name of the bots because they roll on the ground on wheels...

Can't believe noone's mentioned Armada Scavenger.
Personally, I hate all Mini-cons and all cars larger than a basic that look naffly oversized compared with G1 Prowl.
Also hate G1 combiners that are woefully small and again out of scale with Prowl and co. Thank heavens for my oversized Bruticus.
Mainly though, hate larger than basic cars. Pity as it's the only thing I have against Armada Sideswipe who I otherwise actually like.

ok so realistically minicons wouldn't be minicars or helicopters because there isn't really alot fo that around, unless some millionare got drunk and lost his RC Toys..
I see your point, minicons were kinda cool, but their alts made no sense..

It's possible. My parents picked him up for me in around September 2003 from TRU Times Square (along with 2003 TMNT Raphael), so it might be a later mold.

I think we have a winner.
I mean damn, for a mainline release, he couldn't have been closer to a happy-meal toy.

I love Backstop!
His Alt mode is kickass, and I'm even a fan of his cute little stocky bot mode.
It's just too bad his hand's a rhino's ass.

You should check the galleries before you buy something... or at least the back of the package.
Wouldn't it be something though, to not know what you're robot would look like ahead of time?
Surprises ahoy!

But what would be left? Think abut it. House pets and appliances? Could you see Optimus, Starscream or even Unicron covered it toasters and cats?
EDIT: Hmmm... On second thought, that would be pretty funny. Anybody feel like photoshopping that and sharing with the rest of the class?
Oh and worse figures are:
G1: Wheelie.
G2: technicolor Dinobots. Voltron much?
Beast Wars: the pillbug.
Machine Wars: Megatron. Just too small.
Beast Machines: Supreme Cheetor.
RiD: Skybyte.
Armada: Super Bunny Optimus. Gets points with Fire Pants & Book Bag of Death, though.
Energon: Optimus with his little buddies on.
Cybertron: Oversized Starscream. Love it but its too big.
Alternators: Grimlock. I love the whole line but it's just not Grimlock to me.
Masterpiece: Starscream. Let the battle begin!
Movie: thus far, Swindle or "Decepticon Perceptor"

That is one sucky bunnybot.
Some of us happen to have a thing for rabbits
admittedly he ain't the greatest TF around, but he is the best Rabbit transformer (i defy you to disprove that)
I kind like my Leader A Prime, never found a good pose for him but he's big and imposing and that's good nought for me.
And I agree the Sparkplug is a great minicon (and I generally dispise minicons)
Worst figure I own... E-Wingsaber is pretty brick-a-licious, but looks good when combined with E-Prime so they both get a pass....
I'll go with the obvious A. Sideswipe mold (got the one that came with U Magnus)
aaaalso I'd like to put a vote in for Undermine, of all the Dinosaur-bots I have, he is the one I'm least impressed with.

I noticed Backstops' crappiness by looking at the front of the package.
