Binaltech figures are essentially a collector-oriented version of Alternators, featuring fully painted car bodies and die-cast metal parts, in comparison to Alternators, which are entirely plastic and generally have unpainted car bodies in order to keep costs down. Additionally, various Binaltech figures had repainted variants that Hasbro did not release.
