Friendly Comic Guidance needed

Postby RoboFunk Prime » Sun Jun 24, 2007 1:54 am

What's up brothers and sisters!
Earlier today I found myself flipping through the Shockwave spotlight TP at a local Mega-book store. I quite liked it actually, and I was wondering if anyone can kindly direct me to further reading in this new TF continuity (or rather where to start). I believe that this is under a new publishing company too, yes? I used to read the old Marvel series as well as the entire G2 run, but I'm not in the slightest bit interested in anything that Dreamwave did though.
Any help for a fellow bot n' con lover would of course be greatly appreciated :)

IDW's stuff is pretty good...

I would recommend the Spotlight TPB, the Stormbringer TPB, I would aslo recommend the two War Within Series that Dreamwave did.

Infiltration and Escalation are also worthy. Give 'em a look.

Seconding this. The Dreamwave run's weren't bad at all, with some of them being fantastic at times. My only gripe (which is most other people's) is alot of them were never concluded, since Dreamwave went under. But no biggie, enjoy what was released.

Stormbringer (IDW) was my favorite release thus far, fyi. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

The Dreamwave Generation 1 stuff was terrible fan-fiction at its worst. The War Within series, as said above, were rather good though.

IDW have made a good start. Begin with "Infiltration" and go on from there!

Too bad it wasn't "fan-fiction", though, eh? And I happened to like it.

I would also recommend the Dw collections of the 'More Than Meets The Eye' Profiles... tons of fun info, even if some of it (most) is defunct now.
