Generation 2, IRONHIDE

Postby Electron » Sat Sep 29, 2007 9:53 am

Today, i found a Generation 2 :D IRONHIDE, in the Loft, i was so happy because its still in its original packaging, and not open, although the card board is a little bit damaged.

Apart from this transformer the only other transformer that i have still in its packaging, is my Encore edition Soundwave that i got from Hong Kong.
Obviously this ironhide, isn't as cool as soundwave, but i thought i would just put it up as i haven't seen it anywhere else. :P

Very nice find!

I'm completely unfamiliar with this figure though? It amazes me how many I have, how many I know about, and how many more are still out there!

Enjoy it, I bet you'd get a pretty good buck if you sold it too :-?

I doubt it, it's not a very sought after figure, boxed or otherwise.

Also it's not even the ONLY G2 Ironhide, there was also a G2 Gobot (those cars that were reused as Spychangers in RiD) called Ironhide too (the silver ickup truck).

Carded G1 and G2 bots normaly do quite well.

Also if you look at the back of the card and the figure you'll see this was not a mold reused as a SpyChanger.

This is one of the smaller G2 sublines and looks more ThrottleBot-ish than anything.

I study the lines, and G2 has alot of random stuff that has fallen into the cracks. These are the toys I've noticed as most expensive.

Also, welcome aboard Electron!

Sorry, Liege, but this G2 Ironhide is pretty well known, and generally regarded as one of the worst TFs made. Not sure why you're mentioning that he isn't a Spychanger mold, given no one had suggested he was.

Personally, I'd keep this one in it's packaging, as it's one of those rare figures that is more fun kept mint and sealed than opened and played with. But a pretty cool find. Now keep looking, in case you find a MISB G1 figure up there.

He's new to me, but that don't mean much, I've seen alot of things others haven't and vice versa.

The whole SpyChanger reference, well, maybe I misread the post I responded to. These things happen.

I was hoping to research this figure off Ebay, but none where listed. That right there add sealed and rare to the description, and someone will pick it up cause he's an IronHide alone. I've seen alot of crapbots with honored names sell for alot.

If his name was Smungledurf or something, he'd be a $.99 hopeful, but that isn't the case :-?

Still, thats a cool thing to stumble upon :D
