I don't know which is more optimistic, that it's intended to be unpainted, or it's a factory error for the exclusive first shipments.

Ok, so it's meant to be unpainted, as the spikes are the main feature of the alternate face. Hm. :-?

I think I might take some drybrushing metal paint to them, nonetheless.

So there are still no preorders for this guy at BBTS or TFSource. What's the deal with the release schedule/exclusivity?

We have gotten several inquiries re: Cynicus and his higher MSRP. MSRP is decided based on production costs, and the new factory we used to produce this figure charged a rate 50% higher than the factory used for the Azalea figures. We are currently working on a solution to help lower the cost through resellers, but the cheapest option is at PSX where minimal margins and lower delivery costs help reduce the expense. We are hoping to offer a new PO window for the figure to PSX soon, as well as find as solution for overseas resellers.

I think that on PSX it is $59.99 but at other retailers it's going to cost $89? So I guess they're trying to work out a way to lower the price at other retailers before they put them up for preorder.

So are we getting a better quality figure out of Cynicus because of the factory chosen, or was this more a matter that timing/another factor would prevent the Azalea factory from producing Cynicus anytime soon?

Because $60 is kinda pushing it for this guy, and then include whatever shipping instead of POL or free shipping over $XXX. I might have to resort to PSX, but this is leaving a pretty sour taste for me. Shame, because most of their other releases have been worth the price.

Based of of PSX's "Recommended Retail Price" it seems most places will be, provided they do, getting it at a price of $85+ Not really worth it MMC. especially when there doesn't seem to be much more to him than azalea and subsequent retools which are still listed for $59.99
