I'm struggling with this one. I remember somewhere along the line picking up some information about the origional G1 Starscream mold being of a Mig. I see the Masterpiece version is geared me toward F-15. Thoughts?

G1 Starscream has always been based on an F-15 Eagle, and subsequent namesakes base their vehicle designs on him, down to Movie Starscream taking the form of its spiritual successor, the F-22 Raptor. He has never been an MiG jet.
There were a couple that looked like an MiG-25: Blitzwing's Jet mode, and Ramjet featured similar wings from the F-16XL prototype.

For what it's worth, movieverse Dreadwing turns into a MiG.

The Takara Victory/Zone Liokaiser combiner member Guyhawk (or Gaihawk) also is a Mig 29 as alt mode.

Masterpiece, G1, and Classics - all the same basic plane type (if not exactly identical representations of it). All supposed to be F-15's.

The MiG 29 vaguely resembles the F-15, but its tails extend much farther forward, and the upper canopy of the side vents are sloped towards the body instead of being almost squared off like the F-15. The engine "lumps" on top are also not quite as dramatic, while the center fuselage "lump" is not only more dramatic it extends all the way to the rear of the aircraft, which the F-15's doesn't.

So while you could be forgiven for mistaking the G1 mold for a MiG 29, it's definitely an F-15.

Thanks guys! You rule! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't toting misinformation. Plus all the other nerdy info I'm getting is great. About to purchase MP Coronation Starscream and that's what brought this about. Peace!
